After wearing four times and noticing that my daughters right ankle was turning in, I had her skating instructor look at her skates and she informed me that the skate was defective. There was a crease in the material which was causing her ankle to not be supported. I was super bummed because they were a great looking skate that my daughter loved. Turned out that the return policy had expired the day before I contacted Amazon. If I could give these less than 1 star I WOULD!!!! They came in a box that looked like it was made in the 80's with stains on it. The skates had brown splash spots of something all over them. There are scuffs all over them. The blades have rust spots. OH AND IT SMELLS LIKE A DEAD ANIMAL INSIDE OF THEM!!!!! I have had to clean the outside, I have scrubbed the inside several times, I have had to get shoe polish for the scuffs, and I'm not even sure what to do about the blades other than to replaces them. I am using these as a prop for my daughters pageant. However afterwards the plan was for her to use them to ice skate. I would never let her put these on her feet!!!! EVER! They are sitting in my kitchen as we speak because I am still trying to get the smell out so we can try to use them. My kitchen smells so bad! I can't let my daughter use these if I can't recover them some. I do not have time to send these back before the pageant or I would! This is horrible business. The post said used but good condition. These belong in garbage can! OH AND THE BOX THAT THEY WERE SHIPPED IN ALSO CAME WITH HALF A BAND AID STUCK TO THE FRONT!!!!!!!!!! DISGUSTING! ... show more

I bought these skates for my 4 year old daughter. Not knowing much about skating I didn't think anything of the fact that my beginner daughter was always leaning forward, until an instructor stated that the blades look odd and too far back. After taking her and the defective skates to a skate shop, it was confirmed that the blade was entirely too short for the boot and was therefore mounted WAAAAY too far towards the back. $80 later (you really get what you pay for) she is in a new, better pair of skates and the difference was noticeable in the first 10 minutes of her lesson! I'm not against these skates, we didn't know if our daughter would enjoy skating so didn't want to invest too much too soon, just check the skates over really well before you have them sharpened! ... show more

My daughter is 8 years old, her feet is slim, this pair of skates is just thin and long. I bought shoes size us 2, it is perfect right. But a shoe's blade has a little bit crooked.

My daughter is a new to skating but handles her self well on the ice. We had a couple of poor experiences with rental skates so when I found these I was particularly pleased with the price point. These are nice skates, fit was true to size and comfortable. I have a very happy 8 yr. old.
