So we bought these for our three kids to save some money and not have to buy new skates every year. We were fully aware that they're not Olympic quality skates but figured they were fine for learning. We still think they are and will use them at park ice rinks, however, we signed the kids up for lessons at an indoor skating rink and they refused to let our kids on the ice with them. I think this is a ploy to bump up their skate rental profits, but they claim that since they have more of a hockey shaped curved blade (paired with the figure skating toe pique) that the kids couldn't possibly learn or balance on them. Yes, I'm rolling my eyes. There may be some truth to that, I don't know, but it seems over blown. But I write this as a warning that if you are planning to use these for lessons, you may find the instructors won't let you. ... show more

I love how easy it is for my daughter to put on and take off these skates by herself. I also like how she will be able to use these for a few years since they are adjustable. The only bad thing is they are easy to get filled with snow in the front. Where laces would normally keep the snow out these tend to fill up with nothing really there to stop the snow from getting in. ... show more

These seem to be designed for kids with extremely wide feet. The first couple of times my wife put them on my almost 6-year old, she couldn't tighten them enough. There are only two straps that tighten and the straps were so long that they were hitting the inside of the shoe and were not able to tighten anymore. However, after cutting about two inches off of both straps, they fit fine now and still have a lot of room for growing. ... show more

They work. Just notice that their blade is of a slightly rounded shape while regular figure skates have a flat shape which seems easier for learning how to skate. Our coach recommended to get a pair of regular figure skates.

These are great! Easily adjustable, perfect for my girls. We bought two identical sets for our 5 yr old girls. They couldn't wait to put them on. Our first time on the ice was pain free this season. No fumbling with skates that had become to small. Adjustments were made and we were good to go. These are horrible. I bought them hoping my daughter would be able to "grow" into them. I just pulled them out and she is already a size 12 (they should go to a size 13) and although the outer shell expands, the inner boot does not. They thought by adding a softer toe that the kids feet would stretch that far?!?!? No way! It stretches maximum to a size 10 or 11. If you are ok with buying these just as skates for one size, then fine, but I had planned on them fitting her for a couple sizes and since she was already a large size 11, I had assumed we would have plenty of time to use them. And now the window for return is over so I am stuck with them!?!? What a waste! Buyer beware. ... show more

Disappointed, when I bought these for my daughter it stated that it would fit a 6-9yr old, my daughter is 6 with an average shoe size for her age and they will most likely not fit her next year even though they are adjustable, we noticed when she used them that they were already out to the furthest setting and there is not much room for growth. So what we thought would get us through a few years of growth won't, we will now have to buy new ones next year! :-( Other than the sizing issues, we love the skates, just wished that they had given us shoe size range instead of age range... ... show more
