Great basket but disappointed by the sizing. It says 10x10x3 but to allow 1/4" due to hand made.. I needed a basket that was close to 10x10 and its a 13x13" basket!!! I only assumed if anything maybe 11x11 but this is a little misleading since everything I read said it was 10x10 (plus a little leeway). Just know if you're looking for specific dimensions it is more than 1/4" off. ... show more

Definitely an eye-catcher on a shelf (in a good way). Beautifully crafted, weave is clean and crisp but just loose enough to emphasize the pattern. Great size for organizing and should fit on most shelves. Handles are sturdy enough that I'm sure this could be used for regular transport of things as well. I am using it to store things for our prayer table (liturgical table coverings, specific seasonal items, holy water, etc). My coworker and I like to keep some snacks around during the workday. The boxes were looking rather untidy on our desks, so I looked for a good solution. This basket would work well, and I went ahead and ordered it. When I received the basket, I was surprised at how high-quality it was. The basket is dense and well woven. I was able to finally corral all of our snacks into one place that did not look like a tornado head went off in. This basket is very sturdy. The size..I'm still figuring out what to use it for. It isn't the size you can put paper in, at least notebook paper size. But, you can never have too many nice baskets.

Nice size, great wooden handles, and hyacinth reed is a lovely material. Lots of uses for sure. But the weaving needs better attention. It's a little on the loose side, and there are reed ends popping out all over the place. An extra 10 minutes cleaning up the piece would make a world of difference. The one I received is very well made, perfect weaving and all strands endings are properly secured and hidden. The inside surface is smooth with nothing protruding, still I would not use this basket for delicate apparel, the small gaps between the strands of hyacinth may pose issues if anything gets caught in-between. For towels and thick fabric items – perfectly safe. The metal wire frame and the wood handles on top make this basket sturdy: I use it for storing some knick-knacks that used to take a full shelf, they add up to some weight, and this basket holds well. Very nice visual disruptor to the flat-surfaced shelves, contributes an intricate texture to the mix, a hint of coziness like an old, familiar place. ... show more
