I wish this mount worked well for my situation, but sadly it doesn't. I bought an Optoma UHD65, and wanted to try and save some money on a mount. I liked that the mount was all metal and came with an assortment of screw sizes to mount to various projectors. The UHD65 uses the M6 size so I was happy this mount came with two lengths of M6 screws (M6x16 and M6x40) so I could decide which worked best for me. The gimbal of the mount would allow me to make adjustments just in case I didn't mount the projector or mounting plate exactly perfect to the screen. All great things in theory, but after I began setting up the mount and projector I noticed issues that ultimately caused me to take it down and buy a different mount. First problem I encountered is that the two M6 lengths included in the box don't work well. The M6x16 screw is too short in my opinion because I was only able to get about 1 full thread into the projector mount hole. Sorry but that doesn't leave me with a comfortable feeling when my projector is hanging 7 feet from the floor. The M6x40 length screw was too long and I needed about 10 washers to make it work for EACH screw. I could have taken my dremel and cut those screws down to a more manageable size but I decided to go to the hardware store and buy new screws. I purchased four M6x25 screws ($1.60 total), and used 3 washers with each screw to mount to the projector. I could have went with M6x20 but at least I know by using the M6x25 I can completely fill the length of the mounting holes to make a solid connection to the mount. Second problem is with the screws/washers used to tighten the gimbal. I set up my projector perfectly with the screen, tightened the bolts as much as I could to keep the projector from moving. However, I noticed when I adjusted the zoom, lens shift, and focus on the UHD65, the mount ended up moving and throwing everything off. I initially used firm movements to adjust those items, but after I noticed the projector had moved, I tightened the bolts again and very gently touched the projector to make adjustments. It still moved! I'm sure if I sanded the paint off the sides where the bolts/washers snug against the gimbal, and/or used washers with some type of teeth, then it would keep the projector from moving. Since the UHD65 has manual adjustments vs an Epson that can be adjusted with a remote, this won't work for me. Sure, once I get everything set up I won't need to touch the projector again, right? Well, if I decide to wipe the lens off, dust the projector, place the lens cap on, etc, then the projector will move due to the mount. I don't want to mess with that every time. Positives: - Solid metal mount with a lot of flexibility - Affordable price - Comes with assortment of mounting screws/bolts Negatives: - Mount will move even with bolts tightened to maximum (not good if you ever have a need to manually adjust projector settings or clean) - You may need to purchase new screws to mount your projector In summary, this is a nice mount for the price, but I was ultimately unhappy with it when paired with my Optoma UHD65. I think this mount will work for many projectors, but I can't recommend it for the UHD60/65. ... show more

I chose this mount for my Benq 3550 mainly because I needed the 8.6" (advertised) drop to match my screen without any keystone adjustment. I ended up with almost 9" once everything was attached. I did have to get different screws beyond what was supplied but I half expected that. My local hardware store had what was needed. The circle part of the mount had 4 (not 3) of the spiral slots which allowed me to mount the projector very close to its center of gravity. I still had to tilt the projector upwards slightly to achieve perfect perpendicular to the screen (no keystone), but the allen wrench style nuts allowed a good firm tightening without it being too tight to move a little by hand. The trick is always to allow some adjustment while it will still stay where you put it (since just the act of tightening can cause movement). So far I've had good luck and it's staying right where I aimed it. Since I have a screen, I obsessed to get the picture exactly in between the boarders (on all four sides) as large as the picture can possibly be. This mount allowed me (in my case) to do that again without any keystone. Your experience may vary but I think this is a good mount. ... show more

As expected, I had to get the right length screws for my projector. I used washers to shim the medium length screws and then everything tightened up nicely. Can't really ding the manufacturer of the mount for not including every possible length screw.

Everything worked as it should on the mount. I used it to mount my projector onto the wall (WiMiUs native 1080P) It worked great and was a perfect size to fit the plug, HDMI, and Firestick with extender behind it.) I say all that because I was nervous because of the room behind the projector in the pictures did not look to be enough for everything, so I was nervous when I ordered it and almost went with something else. But nonetheless, it all came out great. ONLY reason for not a 5 star is that the screws I needed were not one of the sets they include. The ones worked but were too long. I got lucky and had a set left over from something else so I am not mad about it. I will be giving you an update if the projector doesn't stay adjusted because that is about all that can go wrong so I hope that doesn't turn into a headache. ... show more

Super versatile. If you're hanging right off the ceiling, I'm sure it works fine. If you have vaulted ceilings or need to get below a ceiling fan and need an extension pipe, you may have a hard time finding the right bushing. Most extension pipes are 1", and the threaded bracket is 1.75", which is a pretty uncommon size. So to connect the bracket to the extension, you need a 1 x 1.75" bushing. Good luck finding that in iron or PVC. I got lucky, because the bracket left by the previous owner had screw holes that lined up perfectly with the plate that came with this mount. I had other brand before and in my case did not worked as should be, every time my kids were walking or jumping, I had to come down and adjust the projector to align the picture in the screen (either with the extender or without it, picture was always out of range) This is easy to install, can be used with two screws for fit in your ceiling joists. This goes up to 9" below your ceiling, Not sure if you can buy an extender (in my case 9" was perfect for me) Projector is mounted (in the basement) below my living room area, although some traffic is there most of the time, the shaking or movement you can experience when watching a movie is minimal to say no movement. This is a highly recommended product for anyone that need to install a projector without an extender pole, ... show more
