I originally ordered this dress in the red color. It is more of a light brick/salmon shade. It would be flattering on nearly everyone. I am fair with medium auburn hair and freckles. My mother-in-law immediately commented on how perfect the color was for me. Rare. As for fit, this really matters most with your chest size. The bottom is flowing enough to accommodate whatever fruit woman are compared to. Apples, pears... Why not passion fruit?? We are all of these depending on the day! I am usually an hourglass I guess. 5'9 (hit right at my ankles in XL) and 220ish. I just have a little more "sand" in the bottom of that hourglass, so the top is around a 38 to 40 C/D but could accommodate a larger band size. Cup size is questionable beyond a DD. The XL in red fit perfectly. So much so that I ordered the tan, immediately. Well, the tan is more snug. It fits like a L. I usually wear a L in dresses for reference. With a bit more tucking and adjusting the tan also fit fine but I'm far more aware of the elastic band and it squeezed enough to give me that weird line across my back you might not like. Like a bra line. It wasn't awful but unexpected given the perfection of the red. They really should call the red one clay or terra cotta. It's an earthy red. The tan has a very slight peach tint but still matches everything and is flattering, just tighter. All that said, I liked the red so much I ordered the green too. Hopefully it works better than the tan, which I did keep, but I'm not as thrilled about. It's really all about the chest size here. Measure your melons and don't worry about what other fruit you are supposed to be. Update - the green had a much larger chest. So much so that I returned it. The stitching around the cleavage went up twice as far. This could maybe be remedied by snipping the threads but the cup size was far too large. The entire top portion has nearly doubled in size while the waist stayed the same. I can't even say what size to get at this point! The results are too inconsistent. I returned it and ordered the black hoping it was just an anomaly. Nope. The black is just like the green. It seems they've changed the sizing and possibly even the pattern. For a 40 C/D it used to be a tighter chest fit for XL. It is now so much of a difference it is baggy on top. So if you're a bustier girl than me the new XL cut should work. I guess I'll return the black, just like the green, and try to size down and see if that helps. I'll (unfortunately) update this AGAIN when I try a large. Seriously, for a dress from Amazon I wasn't expecting hand tailoring from the finest silks but for a 50 dollar dress I'd like, I don't know.... Consistent sizing? Yeah, that. Try that. ... show more

I’m 5’9 and this dress was floor length which impressed me being that I’m tall and typically dresses are short. I would say true to size but if you’re not full on the chest area maybe size down. Pros= perfect fit, I am 5'3", 140 lbs and the small was a perfect fit. It went right to my ankle and the underliner fits the length of the dress, only the arms are sheer, which is what I was looking for. It's comfy. But... Cons= the material reminds me of that silky, summer nightgown material and the look of the gathering at the wrist also looks nightgownish. Also, I purchased the light "pink" dress but it is not a light pink at all. It's much more of a peach color and while it's not a real bold peach color, it's much brighter than I expected. The dress is also not as flattering as I had hoped. I thought this material would hug my body a little more but it fit loosly and just hung on my body like a nightgown would. It would probably be an okay spring dress but I can't get over the nightgown feel so I am sending it back. ... show more

I am 33 weeks pregnant, 5’4” and about 190lbs. I ordered the large and it fit perfectly! It is super flattering and I got so many compliments! I wore this for my baby shower. It was a couple inches long on me so I wore wedges with it and it still went down to my toes, and I liked it that way!

The media could not be loaded. It’s a noisy dress. The lining is a weird material, creating an loud awkward sound when i moved. The liner is a lot thicker than the 20 others dresses I’ve ordered and tried on this month (mother of the groom duties). Also Not sure how well it will breathe since it’s so thick. Without my spanx panties underneath I basically looked pregnant in this dress. I returned the long sleeve version earlier this week but the short sleeve was delayed or I would’ve never ordered it after trying on the first. My husband rated it a “meh”. The color was pretty, and the fit was fine, and it is an extremely comfortable dress. If your pregnant it definitely has room. Overall I’d have to say it’s not particularly worth the price point in my opinion. I did get it on a lightning deal which always helps. I searched every day under “todays deal” and found 4 winners, this one was not however ... show more

This is a lovely dress, the shade of green is a nice dark emerald (not a bright jewel tone emerald) which is exactly what I wanted. The cut is beautiful, feminine, it is a bit transparent, but only when back lit (so maybe add a slip if you care). My only complaint is that the top of the dress, from the empire waist up, is too large, and obviously since these are one cut and not custom tailored, it’s probably just my body type. But the top droops. I need to decide to either return it, or get it tailored to tighten up the top, there’s at least an inch and a half of slack in the bodice where the shoulders could be brought in front and back, and the dress will still be low cut. So, if you’re a bit smaller on top, just know it might not fit well and you might need to get it tailored. I think it’s probably worth it if you have the time (all my local tailors are booked weeks out) and the funds, unfortunately I wanted to wear this to a wedding coming up in a few weeks and it took over a week for it to ship, and I had no way to know how it would fit until it arrived. I didn’t see any other reviews mention this so I wanted to mention it for any future shoppers. It would still be lovely to have for other future events or dates once tailored. ... show more
