I bought this to replace my aging 8" fire tablet. I decided to go with the smaller form factor to see what it was like. Screen colors are vibrant and text is sharp. It's easy to use even for smaller hands but for those like me with myopia, the characters on most screens are too small. It's easy to adjust for in the kindle reader but not so easy in the browser. As with other fire tables there are ads on the lock screen but those don't bother me. It's also a bit of a drag that amazon's app store is so limited. Fortunately, you can sideload google play to access more but it can be a little tricky. It's also pretty slow so don't expect to be running any high end games. Still for the price, you can't beat it ... show more

This cover was a nice choice and seems pretty sturdy, I hope it shall protect my Kindle Fire for many years to come. I chose the Pink one and the color is very pleasant. I wish they made more colors to choose from but this suits me fine for now. Recommended!
