Keeps my busy body 2YO Twins engaged despite them not being tablet babies at all. The size is perfect for their tiny hands. It operates well- not lightning fast but adequate for toddlers. The words and apps are the perfect size for them to touch and see. I paid for Amazon kids subscriptions and I’m able to monitor with parents dashboard- I can even set the volume to not be too loud..even if they turn it up ⬆️ it will automatically return to what I set, it has educational and entertaining apps- perfect balance. It maintains the Bluetooth & Wi-Fi connection exceptionally. The only downside is that I can’t prevent them from changing certain settings like the brightness or turning off the Wi-Fi or switching profiles- which is annoying but for what I paid- value for money and we’ll get over that learning curve. The media could not be loaded. My son was gifted a tablet a couple years ago that was meant for toddlers and young children. I assumed it was pretty decent, but it was honestly very slow and lacked access to many games that we didn’t have to pay for. This tablet is absolutely LOADED with age appropriate content that my four year old LOVES! Gone are the days of constant YouTube kids videos or trying to spend the entire day on Xbox with games that are difficult and not educational. He loves that he can go to the games tab and pick whatever game seems interesting to him. We previously had the free version of the Bluey game from Budge, and it was very limited. He was SO excited when he opened up Bluey on his Fire tablet and had access to the entire game! Setup was very quick and easy. The parent dashboard is easy to use. I ordered a 128gb expandable memory and put that in right away. He loves the design and the ability to sit it up or hold onto it. I cannot recommend it enough! ... show more

I purchased this for my youngest child as their first tablet. After using it for a few months, it has held up well, even after being tossed around! The screen is very clear, and the battery life is excellent. That said, the reason I rated this tablet 4 stars is that it was quite difficult to install applications like YouTube Kids. We eventually found a workaround, but it was a bit frustrating. The device also occasionally experiences random slowdowns. For the price, I can’t complain too much, but it’s still worth mentioning. Although this is a great product with a long life, it did not suite my needs, and I have come to hate it, lol! For someone more tech savvy, I think my complaints would not even be an issue. Some people may get it for all the kids apps and games and a free year of Amazon Kids, but that was not my goal. I wanted to put only the games on it that my grandson was allowed and capable of playing and thought I could download them from the online game store, but it was really difficult. I read somewhere to put it on airplane mode and you could do more, with less pre-downloaded "stuff." At some point we downloaded a game that brought a virus, and getting it removed tested all my patience and took many hours to accomplish. I then tried to load an anti-virus program, and couldn't find a way to do it. So, it was not what I expected, but perhaps I was clueless as to how this tablet was made to work. If you want simple, I don't think this is the one for you either, but if your family wants all of that and is familiar with how to navigate Amazon Kids and Kindle Fire...then go for it, I don't think you'll be disappointed. ... show more
