The plump, lustrous beans snuggled in their flavorful liquid are the first thing you notice when you open this can of beans. When you taste them, you realize how soft and flavorful they are, and how they almost melt in your mouth. Even though they include more carbohydrates than I typically eat, beans are something I simply yearn to ingest. These come in very handy while I'm making chili. Most of the time, I combine pinto and black beans since the flavor they provide when eaten combined is incredible. Since this is a regular can without a pull tab, you will need a tool to open it. Bought this to compare with our normal Bush's Black Beans and was impressed with the nutritional comparison...Amazon's brand doesn't claim to be low/reduced sodium but it is...6% of the daily for this product, 20% for Bush's regular, and 9% for Bush's reduced sodium...ingredients are the same except for an additional preservative in this item...have to check the grocery store pricing later... ... show more

The beans are fine. They aren’t sold as “low sodium “ but the sodium is lower than Bush’s low sodium black beans. The shipping is hit and miss. My first order arrived fine; the one I got today had only one can out of ten that was not dented, some fairly deeply. If you are listening, Amazon, you need a dedicated box with divisions for canned goods. Even if it means I have to order a dozen at a time, no dents is best. Again, the beans are fine. ... show more
