Color: Ivory/Silver Size: 100-Pack Style: Suit Hangers
Reviewing bc there are so many GROWN adults crying over bs. They’re hangers. They do the trick. 1. these hangers are cheap AF, so if they break O M G get over it and spend $15 to order another set OR go to your local dollar store, get some super glue, and fix it. Again SUPER CHEAP! 2. Why are we rubbing the velvet when we order??? Are y’all dumb???? $15 hangers are gonna rub off. Again C H E A P - you want better quality, SPEND THE MONEY FOR BETTER QUALITY! 3. Before you right a childish review, act your age & not your shoe size. Smh. ... show more

  • The Good & the Bad of (All) Velvet Hangers
Color: Black/Silver Size: 50-Pack Style: Suit Hangers
Velvet hangers. Often purchased because they’re cheap to buy in bulk, save space and are non-slip. I switched over solely to these about a year ago when I came to the conclusion I wouldn’t magically have more closets but needed more space. I’ve bought priced bundles as premium stores and cheaper bundles at HomeGoodMaxxMarshallRoss stores. They’re all nearly identical. Yes, they save space. Yes, they’re perfect for clothes that normally slip and slide. Occasionally, some handles swivel loosely and occasionally some don’t. Some seem sturdy and perfect, while others are ridged and snap or the handle pops out. This is why I buy double what I need and loose about 25% to breakage. Perfect for 100% cotton clothes, bad for silk, rayon and the like. Rules of thumb: if it bunches up when ironing or normally slides off a plastic hanger, the clothing item may stick to these. If it pills up or sheds or leaves a lot of lint in the dryer, the velvet may rub off on these. The latter is solved with a decent multi-handle lint brush. If you hang your clothes wet or damp, maybe wait to transfer to these. If you’re worried that much about velvet rubbing off, there are ridged, low-profile all-plastic hangers out there, but they’re pricier. For cheap, space-saving, decent hangers that nearly double your closet space and keep clothes from sliding off, these work great. Just be wise and pay attention to what you’re hanging on them and use a little finesse. If you have expensive items or a lot of silk, maybe skip these. If you’re really worried about the velvet rubbing off, get the grey and NOT the black. I’ve found the grey doesn’t rub off as much, but the handles are less likely to swivel and more likely to pop out. Overall< know what you’re getting into with velvet hangers or stick to wood or plastic. ... show more

  • Great price and enough to get started with.
Color: Black/Silver Size: 50-Pack Style: Suit Hangers
I just received these today and already changed out my old plastic hangers for these ones for my portable closet. It did save me space and it looks more uniform instead of having different types of hangers. I didn't receive any broken hangers and did not notice any shedding from the velvet like some other reviewers. Possibly there are some good batches and some bad ones? I will definitely be ordering another 50pk of these to start on my actual closet. The price if very good compared to other retailers. In my before and after pictures (ignore the mess I am rearranging and going through stuff) I took out 3 shirts but then added probably about 10 more shirts. Not all of the hangers are these ones (just the 50 black) the rest are from either the Dollar Tree (3 for $1) or Ross/Marshalls which was maybe 10/20 for $10 or something. So the colored ones and some of the black ones are not these ones. I have only had them a few days and they haven't broken nor have I noticed any fuzz/lint from them though as you can see most of my clothes are dark colors. ... show more

  • As expected! Tips for reducing shedding
Color: Black/Silver Size: 100-Pack Style: Suit Hangers
These are exactly what I expected. These are decently sturdy, if 1 was super flimsy and 10 were solid I’d rate them about a 7. I have some that are sturdier and some that are flimsier. There is bound to be some fatalities- even with more expensive hangers I’ve purchased so at least with this bundle it’s not as devastating. I used to use plastic hangers and I switched to the flocked hangers because they save space and are anti slip since I always remove the garment straps that help the garment stay on the hanger. Flocked velvet does shed. I expected these because I’m a textile geek and to me it’s just common knowledge. But I have a trick for this! Whenever I get new hangers my process is to use the brush attachment on the vacuum and run over the bundle of hangers before I even unwrap them, this helps to reduce the “dust” or fall out from traveling too far. Then I get some old cleaning cloths one to get wet and one for drying (if you purchased black or other colors some dye fallout might stain so don’t use nice cloths), then I put a little bit of dish soap on the first cloth and soak it with warm water, the cloth can be wrung out or sopping, but then I go over the hanger once, then I’ll give a quick rinse with warm (not hot) water, then I’ll use the dry cloth and make sure the hangers are mostly dry. I hang them on a clothing rack, a shower rod would work, or a clothes line in the sun to finish drying. Don’t put wet hangers in the closet or touching one another because you don’t want mildew. Once they’re dry (I usually wait a day) it’s safe to put your clothes on them. To ensure the safety of your garments in the future never hang wet or damp clothes on the hangers or some stain could transfer. If you notice more flocking residue after this process you could repeat again. I’m not sure how much fallout to expect with this brand so if I have more tips I’ll add later on. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful! Over all super happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • If you want a cloud of black dust in your house and on you clothes, then buy these.
Color: Black/Silver Size: 50-Pack Style: Suit Hangers
I ordered the set of 50 based on the 3k reviews. When I took them out of the bag, I placed them on my bed- a king size with white sheets. Immediately, I discovered a cloud of black dust all over the place. I ran my hand on the hanger, and the velvet flocking just came off. If you read other reviews, you will see similar experiences. I have other velvet hangers that do not shed like this. I am shocked that Amazon would put their name on such a defective product. These are going back asap and now I have to wash my sheets - that were literally just washed and put on the bed prior to this. Grrrrrr. ... show more
