I like this display. It does a great job of displaying my books on my shelf. I wouldn't say it is the best way to organize my books and it doesn't hold as much as my regular shelf would but this would be great feature for my future library or anyone who has a library. This is such a nice set of shelves! Yes, they’re cardboard, but it’s very strong and thick. It holds a lot of weight and the display is very nice. Definitely worth it!

    • instructions were not clear
This cardboard bookshelf came in two pieces. Both the outer casing and shelves were sent flat. Instructions were included, but were not easy to follow. The only words in English were the name of the item and "front" and "back." The instructions did come in many other languages, but the only reference for English were the visuals. The images provided for assembly were unclear and assembly took much more time than planned to construct due to poor instructions. The outer casing was the easier of the two components to assemble. The shelf component was difficult to open and to move the pieces as demonstrated in the images. The shelf component had perforated edges to assist with the bending of the cardboard. Two of the sections started to break off when bent with minimal applied force. These sections are needed to secure one of the other pieces to held create a study unit. The unit was assembled and books were sat on the shelves. The unit was sturdy once fully assembled. I would not personally purchase this product again. ... show more

I got this set of little book shelves to displace books in some areas of my preschool classroom. The cardboard is heavy duty and feels very sturdy. The shelf has a nice appearance and looks great in my classroom. My biggest complaint was the assembly. The directions were all picture diagrams, and I found them difficult to understand. I found myself wrestling with the outer portion of the shelf as I tried to put it together. I finally got it built, though I don’t know if I did it correctly. The inner white shelf part wasn’t as tricky to assemble, but I did break a piece off on accident as I tried to fold the pieces as pictured in the directions. It still seems to be functioning ok overall. I am usually good at assembling things, but this threw me for a loop. I do prefer written directions accompanied by pictures, personally. Overall, this product is definitely worth purchasing. My students are loving it and I have gotten compliments on the shelf in my classroom. It was just a bit of a headache to build for me! ... show more

The first thing I noticed on how sturdy the cardboard is, it is very good cardboard. The display was just a little tough to put together because of the directions are very vague and all the creases, its kind of clumbsy. A little messing around with it and I figured it out. They are a little bigger than I imagined but thats ok. They look decently professional. If using them for a while I feel like maybe the tabs that hold it together might weaken and not hold so well but nothing tape couldn't solve. I would recommend these for a quick temporary option to display something until you find something more permanent for your needs. ... show more
