I've been a 0 to 2 most of my adult life, but around 41 (I'm 43) I gained a bit of weight, so I'm not quite so tiny anymore. more in recent years; I opt for comfort over sexy, but not in the way kids today wear leggings & sweats everywhere! I wouldn't mind a slower paced, less stress, lifestyle of living back in the horse & carriage days (I am a second-generation horsewoman & lifelong equestrian which may have a bit to do with that though), but I've always opted for and preferred to be over-dressed before I'd show up under-dressed for an occasion. no, when I say comfy, I mean in a "burn your bra" comfort way! I wish Amazhiyu would make a 100% linen triangle surplice bralette, but I find comfy surplice camisoles or light bralettes that give decent support, considering, or buy lined (double-cloth) linen tops and dresses a little looser, that allow me to get away without wearing a bra, without being an exhibitionist. linen (only 100% natural flax) and leather (only genuine) are my all time favorite materials, and I've always liked dresses, but 7± years ago I started wearing linen year around in some form or another, and dresses nearly everyday, spring, summer & fall—I can't tell you how many of the Amazhiyu V-neck camisole dresses with the high/low hem & side seam vents I own—I love the high low split hems—I wish they made one like this with side seam vents to mid-thigh! I wear their linen dresses around the house, to garden, and even to feed the horses! now days I typically wear a 4, sometimes a 6 in bottoms. most of the extra weight went to my hips, thighs, and butt of my hour glass figure. I have a short torso and I'm all legs, I've always had an athletic build with larger hip area than anything. I purchased this dress because I have four or five linen dresses of the same style, but in knee length that I love. I purchased this in a large for two reasons; first the color I wanted wasn't going to arrive in a small or medium soon enough, the other was because I wanted it as close to floor length as I could get, and I knew I could get more length with a larger size, and could adjust it at the neck. I was surprised that although it would fit someone much, much larger than me; it works perfectly for the look I was going for! I was amazed that it didn't gap at the arm holes either due to the way it pleats and gathers! I love the way the large looks on me because it's real flowy, with a lot of linen fabric, with that easy, breezy linen look you want. I can dress it up even easier for a nice restaurant dinner, but it's still great for a walk on the beach, or for me; it's also perfect for wearing on a long drive (like vacation for most ladies, but I even haul (transport) my horses in it—in comfort), for hours I can wear it and there's no waistband digging in or the feeling of being constricted in the bust area. this dress is an attractive way to get the "comfy" feel kids look for today—it feels like wearing nothing—without looking like I don't care about my appearance! linen is elegant and the only fabric in the world that you can get away with wearing to bed, and to a fancy wedding, right out of the dryer, for that lovely linen character, and charm, or ironed if you're a stuffy snob—just kidding—I have linen that I lay flat, on a smooth linen towel, rub the wrinkles out by hand and allow to air dry for less wrinkles! you can easily toss linen in the dryer on the steam cycle, pull it out before it dries and/or mist with water and smooth the wrinkles by hand if you like or it's a little too wrinkly for your liking, but I usually prefer it's natural character. I recommend wearing with genuine leather flat gladiators, or platform wedge sandals in genuine leather, or natural fiber espadrilles (just keep the materials natural fiber—no synthetics to keep it classic & classy). worn casually; I only wear panties underneath, there's no need to wear a chemise, but dressed up; I'll sometimes put on a chemise or body suit. if you're not brave enough to go bra-less or you're modest; I recommend a well fitting (not too tight) natural fiber material like silk or linen, camisole & full panty set, chemise or a cotton body suit, so you're less likely to see panty and bra in the sun. this dress worked out perfectly in a large for the long length look and extra fabric I wanted, and the 100% natural flax linen fabric makes it oh so very versatile! you can't go wrong with this dress and the sizes are very, very forgiving, so just buy it already! I only saw one person not love it in the reviews; I guess she just wasn't into the effortless, elegant, yet comfortable style this affords you, IDK because this style works on everyone and can even be adjusted to look a tiny bit sexy if you tie it loosely at the neck so it's lower on the back. if you decide you don't like it for going out (that would be crazy); it also makes a fabulous nightgown or weekend lounge wear too! I usually buy Amazhiyu chemise dresses and ones like this in multiple colors and keep some to wear around the house, to garden or go to the horse stables in, and some to keep nice and wear when I leave the farm. ... show more

Usually, you need to size up, but I'd suggest ordering your normal size for this one. The linen isn't sheer, and the dress looks classy and timeless.
