The Amazfit GTR3 Pro smart watch deserves 5+ stars! I'm loving it. It is the best smart watch for the money in my opinion. I am a protectionist so I normally buy name brand things because they are normally better, for the most pay at least. But one of the main reasons I chose this is the battery life. A Google or Samsung watch has to be recharged every day. I along with most people charge their devices at night. But if you charge at night you can not make use of the sleep analysis which is one of the most important features for me. It says the GTR 3 Pro last for 12 days, what a huge difference! I got mine 04/22/2024, it's now 05/01/2024 and the battery level is at 13%. I also have all the high battery use features (minus always on display) turned on so that is impressive. The display is high quality-very clear, vibrant, and bright. Another reason why I choose this is because it has Alexa built in. It's very handy to have especially if you have a lot of smart devices. I really like how the top side button is a scroll wheel to easily navigate thru text messages, notifications, menus etc.. The Zepp app is awesome. The Aura feature inside Zepp app is amazing! It's very advanced, it plays brain frequencies, heart beat, melodies, and nature sounds to help you sleep, meditate, it just relax. What makes it so advanced and special is it monitors you as it plays different sounds and finds what sounds effect you the most and uses those to help you fall asleep faster. It works way better than I imagined it would. It works so well I end up sleeping with my ear buds in all night. I normally listen to sleep hypnosis videos on YouTube and remove my ear buds whenever I wake up for the first time during the night. With Aura I don't wake up any to be able to take the ear buds off. That speaks volumes. I could go on and on but if you want a good smart watch this is 100% the one to get!! ... show more

I've had this watch about a month and a half. Excellent. I had a fitbit inspire 2, for several years. The watch is hard plastic and in changing out the bands, a piece broke off, rendering it un-usable. I thought it was a good time to upgrade to more of a smartwatch and looked at Galaxy watches, etc., but those price tags were too much, plus their battery last was give or take 1 day. Given the fact that Fitbit was bought by Google and they plan to phase those out, I didn't want to I also didn't want a cheap watch that I was going to have to replace every couple of years. I wanted a metal watch (to avoid the issue with a piece breaking off), I wanted it to have the fitness capability, and I preferred it to have the phone connections. I spent a lot of time looking and googling for reviews. This one is great. The battery lasts a long time, not quite 2 weeks, and I have several apps enabled. I have let it get down almost to zero so I could see how long I could get off one charge, and even with low battery (leas than 10%), it still lasts all day while I'm work, etc. It also charges quickly. I have used it answer the phone and reply to texts (I have an android). I enabled notifications as well as several of the fitness apps. I've used the Breathe app at night before bed. Sleeps seems to track well. I didn't realize it had features like a compass and a barometer. It reminds me to get up and walk, etc. I like that it is round vs square. It is a large face, but I have large large wrists and hands and it fits well. I got several compliments at work. I highly recommend this watch. ... show more

    • Gets so many things right, but a couple of fatal flaws

I bought this watch after my Samsung active 2 died. The old watch had to be charged up every single day. Before I returned it, this GTR 3 Pro looked like it would come close to making a whole week! I loved how the turn knob made it easier to blaze through menus! The variety of apps and watch faces included for free with the Zapp OS were amazing, and far better than Samsung's chintzy offerings. One of the best features were the exercise data analytics, these were thoughtfully created and presented interesting, useful information. Sadly, the Zapp app does not allow you to export the raw data. I consider this to be a serious flaw. You must download the manual from the Amazfit website in order to understand the full functionality of the watch. It is in Chinglish, mostly understandable and occasionally amusing. Yet it is incomplete and lacks sections on some features. Actual customer support is virtually non-existent. The two fatal flaws for me were primarily: 1) when the watch was connected DND on my phone would not function. Therefore my phone would ring while in a meeting no matter how I tried to set up do not disturb. This is unacceptable. I strongly suspect that this was a result of trying to pair the watch with my Samsung phone. Samsung highly modifies most aspects of the Android operating system as part of their walled garden strategy. 2) in the swim function lap counting was unreliably unpredictable. I could not tell why the watch would track some laps and not others and this made it unsuitable for one of my main uses: exercise tracking. I was really impressed by the vibrant display, the robust options in the operating system, how fast the watch responded to touches, and how the watch didn't become neurotic while immersed in water. I won't say that the decision was gut-wrenching, but I was actually sad to return this watch. If the company is still around I might try a later version when I finally graduate from my terrible Samsung phone. ... show more
