I absolutely love these little floating shelves! They’re so cute and add such a modern yet farmhouse vibe. Easy installation and just compliment our bathroom so well. The only down side is that the wood material and racks aren’t as durable as you would expect, so you have to be careful with what you put on them. The shelf is indeed 16.5 in wide but the usable area is slightly less than 16 inches because of the bar. The wood finish is very rough, not smooth. After leveling the shelf carefully, I found that it still slopes down away from the wall. It’s fine. We’ll still use them, but I’m not impressed.
