This 3' x 8' non toxic, high quality synthetic material artificial grass mat has 4-tone colors to give it a very realistic look and feels like real grass. Personally we got this artificial grass mat to lay out in our garage floor for our pup to use when we are hunkering down for a tropical storm or hurricane and are not able to go outside. The artificial grass mat has drainage holes so I will have to place a tarp underneath until it can be taken outside and hosed off. Very grateful to have this in the event of severe weather or even just those long rainy days. Haven't actually got to try it out yet but that's a good thing for us. I am sure it would work great outside in the yard if you have a bare section that just won't grow grass well. It does say it heats up in the sunlight so I imagine here in Florida it would get pretty hot to the feet. It is very versatile in that it can be used in so many places. Very realistic looking and I used carpet tape to attach it to an existing rug to give her a large area that she loves to lay on. The drainage holes are visible from the underside but not the top and I hope they help with moisture that builds up on the second floor deck where everyone likes to hang out. This artificial grass mat is thinner than I expected, but it still looks nice, and the quality is good. We have an area of dead grass that we’re planning to remove, and place this grass mat on the dirt, for our puppy to potty on. I put her other grass mat by this one in the photo, to show the difference in color and thickness. I ordered this grass mat, because it’s much larger. I like the darker color of her previous mat, but this one does have four shades of green, and looks good. It just depends if the color is a concern for you. It has drainage holes for urine and water, and is easy to spray off with the hose. It’s lightweight, so it will blow across the yard if it isn’t tacked down. Great artificial grass mat. It hasn’t burned or gotten messed up from being in direct sunlight with this summer heat. Seems pretty durable. The thickness gives it a nice cushion, like real grass. I needed a grassy area on my deck for my new puppy to potty and play on. Trudging down the stairs and outside in the middle of the night was getting to be taxing. I laid out this grass which is really soft and pretty and he goes right out to do his business and we're back inside and back to bed. The grass has a thick black backing that smells a little like tires but is already starting to dissapate after being outside a few days. Waiting for it to rain again to see how well it drains.
