I had been contemplating buying a pair of Allbird shoes for a while. I finally took the chance and do not regret it. I ordered a half size bigger at 9.5 instead of my usual 9, which was recommended by the sizing chart. The toe room is perfect! I would argue that these shoes are better than most Nikes or other running shoes I have worn or tried on. I am picky when it comes to shoes. I bought these for a vacation where we would be waking 6-10 hours a day while sight seeing. These shoes were incredible. My feet were never sore and walking over many varied surface types all felt comfortable.

My son has been wearing these regularly for about 2 months now. He wears them to school and also to basketball practice and games. They have been holding up fairly well considering how hard he is on shoes. He said they were comfortable right away. The sole is rugged and flares out a little in a couple places giving them their own unique design. They have good grip. The black upper is cloth-like and breathable. These shoes are lightweight. They are the most comfortable shoe ever. I have chronically sore feet and they help a lot. I have slightly narrow feet and the 10 regular fits perfectly. People with possibly more regular width foot or a little wider may need the wide size.

    • blisters and mild bruising from one walk

purchased these shoes because they came highly recommended from family/friends for walking and running on pavement. this version of the shoe, 2.0 construction, gave me mild bruising (soles/arches) and blisters (heels) after ONE 4mi walk. they’ve installed a hard fabric or plastic insert [?] at the heel which sits above the padding (why???). it dug into my skin sooo badly even through high cut athletic socks. this piece was not in older models, otherwise i never would have ordered them. overall the shoe had okay sole cushioning (not spectacular compared to competitor brands), but they were oddly shaped and fit my arches incorrectly, like enough to mildly bruise. i wanted to like these a lot. it is possible i received a defective item, but i can’t endorse them and i wouldn’t try them again. ... show more
