Easy to install. Picture is much better than my old ring . It is bigger and give a wider of tge area and full view of a person. Wifi connection is greatly improved in comparison to my old ring it is much easier to connect it to wifi and it fast using 5G wifi. The real view comes on very quickly. This was the second ring doorbell we’ve purchased. I bought it because the batteries come in a battery pack, making it much easier to charge. My house has no wires. I bought a second battery pack so that when the battery needs charging I can just pop another battery in and have no down time waking for the battery to charge. The camera on this model is better than our previous one, giving us more clear and vivid pictures. It also gives us a wider view. My only complaint is that it was difficult to install because it doesn’t have a separate mounting plate like our previous model. The mounting holes where you need to mark for the screws are so tiny and deep that there is no pencil, fine pen or marker that will fit through them to make your mark. We finely used a smaller drill bit through the hole to make a mark. It was also awkward to hold into place because it is bottom heavy. It took two of us. I would suggest to bring that they make a separate mounting plate for this module or at least provide a paper template to use as a guide to drill the holes. ... show more

USED-VERY GOOD Ring Doorbell Pro (Sold by Amazon) I recently purchased a “USED” Ring Doorbell Pro from Amazon, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The state of the device was far below what one would expect, especially for a refurbished/ used product that should meet certain quality standards. Here’s a breakdown of the issues encountered: 1. Cosmetic Condition: Severely Scratched Upon unboxing, the first thing I noticed was the terrible cosmetic condition of the device. The face of the doorbell was covered in deep scratches, far beyond normal wear and tear. For a device labeled as "USED- VERY GOOD," I anticipated some minor imperfections, but this was shockingly damaged and unacceptable for any product sold by a reputable retailer like Amazon. The other components of the doorbell package (screws, screw driver,cable, mount) were also scattered inside a box. Again, not what I expect from Amazon. 2. Missing Essential Components: NO RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK!! To make matters worse, the device was missing its “ rechargeable battery pack”!!!! Isnt that a critical component for the doorbell to function?? Without the battery, the doorbell was rendered useless. This omission made me question the thoroughness of the refurbishment/ repurposing process. Selling a device without the necessary components for operation is not just an oversight—it shows a lack of attention to detail in quality control. 3. Device Could Not Be Powered On As expected with the missing battery, I was unable to power on the device. Even after checking for other potential issues (such as charging), it was impossible to test or install the doorbell. Without being able to power it on, I couldn’t even check if the internal electronics were functional, adding to the frustration. 4. No Customer Support from Ring Hoping to resolve the issue, I contacted Ring customer support, but my experience with them added to the frustration. I was informed that Ring's policies do not allow any assistance for used or refurbished products, leaving me with no options for repair or replacement. This lack of support for refurbished items is a significant drawback, especially when buying a device as crucial as a security product. 5. Appalling Customer Service from Amazon!! Since Ring refused to help, I had no choice but to contact Amazon “customer service” This turned out to be another nightmare. First of all, the representative I spoke with could hardly speak proper English and was extremely rude. They kept overlapping in conversation, wouldn't listen to my concerns, and offered no solution to set up a return. Shockingly, they even blamed me for buying a used product, as if it were my fault that the battery wasn’t provided. Their attitude was dismissive, and despite trying to explain the situation, they refused to take responsibility. The final straw was when the representative eventually hung up on me. It was one of the most distasteful customer service experiences I've ever had. 6. Overall Experience This was an incredibly disappointing purchase. From the device’s scratched-up appearance to the fact that it arrived without a battery, it is clear that this refurbished Ring Doorbell Pro did not undergo proper inspection or testing before being resold. I never got to test the functionality of the device, as I was immediately faced with these significant issues. The terrible customer service from both Ring and Amazon only made the situation worse. Conclusion: I would not recommend purchasing refurbished electronics, particularly security devices like the Ring Doorbell Pro, from this seller on Amazon. The device I received was in worse-than-expected condition and unusable due to missing parts, and there was no support available from Ring to rectify the situation. Amazon’s customer service was unhelpful, rude, and ultimately hung up on me without offering a solution. Hopefully, this review helps others avoid a similarly frustrating experience. I hope my review reaches the right audience and they can make better choices. ... show more
