    • Works well!
We had a module and 2 blink cams already but last week I moved a camera and that did the system in, lost the sync mod and the cameras. So, I deleted the system and tried to set the mod up and it would turn off whenever it tried to connect to my network. The troubleshooting on the blink site suggests everything is my router or the mod is too far away, blah blah blah. So I moved it right next to router (router had no issues on cell phone and streaming tv), still nothing. After messing with the old modulator I said I'm done, ordered a new one and a new camera. New one came in yesterday, no issues setting it up! moral of the story, don't believe it's always your routers fault! One of my old cameras wouldn't setup either so, new extended range camera and 1 old camera, and 1 new modulator later my system is up and running again! Took maybe 10 minutes to set it all up. ... show more

    • My Garage camera no longer drops signal
Got my XR on friday hooked it up was a super easy process. Deleted the hub from the blink app it saved all the cameras to the account. All i had to do was add the new hub took a total of 3 minutes and presto all work great. My garage camera now responds immediately and has not dropped yet when it used to happen almost daily as hub is in my house and garage on adjacent property. ... show more

    • Disappointing Range and Performance Issues
I had high hopes for this camera since I have a 200-foot driveway and wanted coverage closer to the entrance. I tried the XR+, and while I initially saw a grainy video from about 200 feet away, the camera went offline after five minutes and didn’t reconnect. I moved the camera closer to the house, and at around 30–40 feet, I received a motion alert. I decided to leave it there temporarily to test its performance. Five minutes later, it went offline again, and though it reconnected after 10 minutes, its range was no better than the original Blink camera. On top of that, switching it to high-range mode significantly reduces video quality, which I could accept if it actually worked consistently. I’m hoping for a software update to address these issues, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend buying this. ... show more

    • Good range
I have a blink sync module 2 already but with a metal pole building in the way, it could not reach a wireless camera I wanted to put inside my enclosed tool trailer (also metal). I purchased this module XR hub with a outdoor 4 camera and it works well getting inside my tool trailer and past the metal pole building. Picture quality is not great, but I just want to know that something is not right when there should not be any "activity" inside my trailer. I sleep much better a night knowing my camera system is protecting my large investment. I would recommend this system to anyone needing a good, low cost security solution that works. ... show more

Review #1 - Date 11/10/2024 - "The Testing Phase": ----- Meaning I just got this & 1 of many New Gen 4 Outdoor Cameras. I have a huge Blink Camera System that consists of "8" Sync Modules (Including this one). So I have 8 Camera Zones that have a total of "23" Blink Cameras. All up and running seamlessly with usually no Drops or Offline Cameras. I do this so I can have some ARMED ALL THE TIME & Others ARMED ONLY When I Need Them, they are Inside & Outside of my house.. A Couple are EXTRA ZONES with extra cameras so they can be moved them around as or if needed. ----- I got this All-new Blink Sync Module XR — System Hub to see if it really works as they (Blink) say it dose. I am hopping it dose Because I would like a couple of Cameras Out Further from My House so I can See more of my land & A couple looking Back Towards My House. All my cameras are always plugged in and waiting or watching. I set up this All-new Blink Sync Module XR — System hub & I will Give it 4 Stars for now because I did just set it up and put a The Gen 4 Outdoor Camera (That came as a bundle) about 125' from the Sync Module, it was in my basement and had to go through 2 inside walls, 1 outside wall then out to the end of my fence. It worked the very first time. Not with great connections but it was more responsive than some of my other Cameras including Gen 4 Cameras that are closer & they all have 100% connection to there Sync Module 2 & Router. I will move the Sync Module Hub around my house hook it to a closer router ( I have 3). I will also PLUG the Gen 4 Camera in to a power supply (AS ARE ALL MY CAMERAS) & remove the batteries. I have noticed that ALL MY CAMERAS work better with a constant power supply. Blink Cameras are GREAT. I Love them & find them very dependable and at a very decent price when they are on sale. ----- I will update this review after a few weeks of testing. ... show more

    • Had high hopes......UPDATE 12/9/2024
I have had Blink cameras both at home and my camp up in Maine for years now and have been very pleased with them. When I saw they now have an extended range I was thrilled as now I could be able to check on the boats at the dock in the summer when I'm not there. Well 4 days into the new XR system and have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I'm almost exactly 200 feet from the water and so far, they work about 25% of the time. Tried a couple times to set it on XR Mode and it wouldn't work. Finally got it to work on XR+ but like I said, maybe 25% of the time it will work, rest of the time is the clockwise symbol that it's trying to load. **** UPDATE 12/9/2024 **** So soon after this poor review I was contacted by Blink Support. They had me grant access to my system and looked into the issues I was having. They discovered I was connected to my 4G system and Blink operates on 2.4G. I switched my Sync module over to the 2.4 that I have for tank utility system this past weekend, and it now works perfectly. Big thank you to Kevin from Blink Technical support. ... show more
