I love how easy to access and control this tablet is for children. It’s lightweight and easy to hang on to. The cover is sturdy and protects the tablet well. The battery charge lasts all day with no issues. Functions well with no issues. Has a nice variety of apps and kid friendly apps.

I got this for my three year-old boy. He learned so much on this his younger brother always ends up stealing it so they both get the best use out of it so many learning games and fun music apps for them to grow their mind. Such a goodbye.

***it does take a memory card for extra space. If you're looking for the micro SD slot for more space you have to take the tablet cover off, and it's on one of the longer sides of the tablet. Flip it and insert memory card. Put back on your tablet cover. It's great so kids can't take it out as easy. **** Another update **** If your child's apps/games disappear try these two things: 1. Check your Amazon kids subscription (you get 1 year free, then you have to renew.) 2. Go into parental controls. Make sure you have not limited screen time (or set time limits), or turned on learning first. Just check all those boxes off, and fix the limits/restrictions after they get their apps/games back. They should reappear checking those 2 things. --------- Review --------- My child has had a fire tablet since he was 4. I have upgraded to the newest kids tablet every year for his birthday. This is the newest one for him. He's loved playing Minecraft, Roblox, some apps that come pre installed on the tablet, and he also likes browsing the store. - The kids fire tablet is easy for kids to use and pick up on. - I can set restrictions like he has to read or learn first, and what times he can use it to limit screen time. - The coolest thing is I can do it all from my phone. From approving games, education, and screen time. The memory on the device is decent for a kid but you can always upgrade it with a micro SD card. He has Minecraft, Roblox, messenger for kids, YouTube/YouTube kids, and some other games/apps. I had to approve. Sound: whew this thing is loud for what it is. I'd recommend some headphones so you don't have to hear it loll. Overall the appearance nice, it's a good value for your money (I know it's a high price tag compared to other brands) but the amount of peace it brings to a parent is worth it. We had some long flights for a two-week family vacation and thought having tablets for our boys would be necessary. We aren't the type of parents that allow our kids to use phones or tablets so we didn't want to buy iPads. I was pleasantly surprised of the parental controls, the quality of the screen, durability, battery life and speed. Our boys 4 & 7 were able to use two of these on vacation, they watched movies played games and took pictures and video and had a great time. Now that we're no longer on vacation they use them on long road trips, or only on the weekends, and only for an hour a day. The parental controls enforce these rules quite nicely. Amazon Kids subscription is new to us, but was a nice bonus to this deal. Overall, a great tablet with a sharp screen and great brightness. The bevels are small and it runs smoothly. We returned a different table because it couldn't play my son's favorite game, but this one handles it with ease. We will probably get this same one for our other son at some point. Great value overall. **2 Week Update. All the above still stands, but I would add that it didn't take long for the tablet to start to slow down and occasionally freeze. It's not a long freeze, but you can tell that certain games it can't handle as well. If you're looking for a tablet that can handle a lot of games this is probably not it. We have probably only added 5 or 6 games (in addition to streaming apps) so it hasn't been anything ridiculous. Docked it 1 start as a result, but for the value I would still recommend this tablet. ... show more

My daughter's tablet that I ordered less than a year ago will no longer turn on. When I tried to trade it in for a new one the "2 year guarantee" was no where to be found. Adding a couple stars back on. Amazon Customer Service called ME, unptomted, imo, to discuss the issue and help fix the problem, at least the problem of where to go to claim the warranty. Five stars to the nice customer service lady. Still bummer the tablet didn't last, but there's always a few duds in each batch. Oh, I'll add another star because this generation of Firetablet Kids is easier to work the parent settings and get everything set up. ... show more
