    • Basically Good for the Tools
While this makeup kid contains just about ANYTHING a person would need for their lips, face, eyes, and eyebrows, the quality of the items isn't too good. A kit like this would be best for a young girl who's starting to think about makeup to play with. The most useful thing is headband for keeping your hair away from your face. It's soft and stretchy, and a good quality. I found that the applicators and brush in the separate packet are nice. They aren't fancy pieces, but that's not what I expected, and they're certainly adequate. I've never used tools to shape my eyebrows or curl my eyelashes. The curler and tweezers seem well made, but I just can't tell if the eyebrow razor will work. It doesn't seem too sharp when I lightly rubbed it with my finger, but that might be something important for that kind of tool. The directions on the packet for these are the ***ONLY thing in the entire kit*** that is in English. It provides some directions for use. But for everything else, you're on your own. The eyeshadow/liner pencils seem decent. I think they'll do the trick. But while there are eyelash/eyeliner brushes, there's no eyeliner. The cosmetics are comprehensive, but not very good quality. The blush is the decent, but everything else goes on as a light pastel. The lipstick doesn't last, and the foundation doesn't do much at all. The biggest disappointment to me were the false eyelashes. They claim to be self-adhering, but they're only *very* slightly tacky, and don't even stick to my finger. There's no adhesive to use with them. There are also no directions. Since the major reason I ordered this was to try my hand at using false eyelashes, I'm not happy about these at all. The back of the package of small colored eyelashes at least has a few drawings along with the Chinese-language directions, but they're not too useful. I have no idea how I'm supposed to use the eyelash tattoos, and they aren't even mentioned in the Amazon ad. Finally, I think that the tools included here are probably worth the price, if you're looking at the cost of these items at a local store. But I have to note that I'm suspicious of Chinese-made products, since there are no laws governing the quality or cleanliness of the plants where they manufacture makeup. I really wanted to try out the false eyelashes, and was wary of the makeup, so for me, this item is a bust. If you're not concerned about makeup from China, there are enough good things in this package to make it worth the money. But most of the comprehensive palette isn't very substantial. ... show more

Having a kit that will include everything you need to create a cohesive look is such a great idea. There were some problems with this though. Pros: The eyeshadow, blush, and lip pallete is bold, and the colors vibrant. Not the highest quality so it takes a few passes to get the solid color, but with a little primer (not included) it will last a long time. The brow kit is comprehensive. A razor, trimming scissors and tweezers are everything to shape and clean up unruly brows. The bag is mesh so anything that accidentally gets put away damp can dry without getting musty! Cons The shadow sticks with smudgers are greasy and unusable. The lashes are gorgeous, the color beautiful and the size perfect. They are not self adhesive and there is no lash glue or remover so they can't be used. There is no mascara so the temporary lower lash tattoos look out of place and childish. The curler is thin and crooked. The joints are not snug so it shakes and feels like it will break while using. The eyeliner tool could not be tried out properly because there is no eyeliner or liner brush to attempt to use shadow instead. Brow wand and pencil are darkbrown/black. Look okay but are too dark for me to judge. Blush brush was fine when I trimmed it down. So, kind of 50/50. A few great parts, bit a few bad ones too ... show more

This is a pretty thorough set of makeup and tools - add foundation and/or powder and you're set. An eyeshadow palette with a wide assortment of colors, lip colors, blush, eyebrow pencil, lash curler, false lashes, spa headband, brushes and more. Everything is in a travel bag. The brushes are serviceable but small and cheap, and the makeup similarly is ok, but not great. It would be a.nice starter set for a teen girl, or for someone who just dabbles in makeup sometimes and doesn't care too much about makeup quality. This beginner makeup kit leans towards the lower end of quality, better suited for a new makeup user to experiment with. With that said, it does have a decent amount of products, the makeup palette and the hair band probably being the best items in it. Personally, I’d have preferred a mascara over the false eyelash items. I wouldn't actually market this for women I feel it's more for tweens and teens. The quality is only subpar and the longevity of wear is less than a couple hours. The brush set is cheaply made and not thrilled with the palette. However the case is nice. I feel if marketed more for tweens and teens it would get higher rate. Not quality enough for adult women in mind whom wear make up daily and more experienced with it. ... show more
