I wanted a skinny glass straw to fit my 30 ounce tumbler. It fits perfectly. The glass is a nice weight. I was a little nerves from the previous reviews of them arriving broken. I could here them rattling in the box before I opened the package. I was super excited to see they were all in tact.

If you have the Stanley 30 oz, these are the perfect glass straws for them. I put a picture of the Stanley straw next to these glass ones. The glass is a little thinner, but I didn't mind. I use them all the time and they're great. Make sure to inspect your straws after washing. One had a hairline crack from being dropped (thanks kids!) that I thought was dirt. It broke when I hand-washed it. So just make sure to inspect before use. I've noticed that the ends of the straws can break if you drop the tumbler too hard. Love that I can see when they're clean! We love sea turtles. So, we decided to stop using single-use plastic straws. Metal straws leach metal ions, which is why the metal can be tasted during use. Glass straws don’t interfere with flavor. These particular straws are a good length and diameter for use with my insulated cups. The set comes with a little brush for cleaning, although if you rinse the straws right after use and put them in the dishwasher, they come out sparkling clean - no scrubbing required. I bought these to make my own bubble as a way to inhale a non street legal stimulant in the form of smoke by way of lighter. All in all, the end pinched off great and clean and the bubble blew surprisingly perfectly round. And they're so small. Which is good for stomping if pulled over.

The straws are deserving of five stars. I purchased them before and love them. Through a number of mishaps, I managed to break all but one of the bent straws, so ordered a new set. Unfortunately they are packed in a plastic tray then shipped within a lightweight padded mailer. As you can see from the photo, five of the ten arrived broken. I’m requesting a replacement. My family loves straws! Made of laboratory glass, these are sturdy and almost unbreakable. The colored tips were very difficult to put on. I finally boiled some water and let the tips sit in it for a few minutes. It took some tugging, but I got the tips on and do NOT plan to remove them. I'm sure these straws would be fine in the dishwasher, but they slip through the holes in our dishwasher's silverware tray. I always have certain items to hand wash, and a few straws can be washed right along with them. I think anyone would enjoy these . . . we do! ... show more
