I have been using a name brand padded tape for many years and it has held up well on my CX bike. When time came to replace the tape I decided to ALIENPROS based on price and reviews. The new tape is good, but I am not sure it is as durable as my other brand, based on initial examination, I guess time will tell. I like this road bike tape, its basic and cheap. For the price listed I can do my bmx bars four times whereas normal bmx grips I get one pair for nearly the same price. On road bike I get to wrap the bars once with a box of these. Sure there are better ones available but for the money this is a solid choice in bar tape. ... show more

Used this on a old lawn mowers handle that had become rough,worked out very well. Now I don't need to wear gloves cutting grass. Mine might have been old or stored in a hot warehouse about half of the adhesive on one of the rolls came off with the backing when I pulled if off.

Contains everything you need to replace the bar tape. It has this shiny sheen to it, which I don’t mind but wasn’t clearly depicted anywhere in the description. Also, not the biggest fan of the round plugger at the end. Very generic. Will update to see how long it holds up but so far feels good.

The grip feels good and is easy to install. First first timers or side gravel bars it needed to be 1 ft longer in length. Use it with electrical tape to be sure it stays in place
