Got this as an option for blink cameras and ended up using it for a solar panel. Works great! Easy to install, just had to change the side the mount was on. Fits snuggly on gutters, not worried about i falling or rusting.

I didn't want to hire someone to drill holes in the stucco of my house, so I decided to attach my Blink cameras to the gutters. These aren't the easiest to install, depending on the gutter. I have house gutters and pool cage gutters that are very different. I had to really maneuver them to get them to attach and stay tight in place, but once I did they worked fine. I wish the fastener that tightens the camera mount was attached to the device because I dropped it when trying to install it and never found it, so I'll need to go to the hardware store and find a match. Overall I do recommend them if you have gutters and don't want to drill into your house exterior to install the Blink cameras. ... show more

These do exactly what there intended for. They were easy to install. I did end up removing them due to reading more about the outdoor blink cameras - they are not weather proof, only resistant. Unfortunately for me the only way I can use these is on my gutter and not under as of current. That would cause the cameras to be exposed to elements. Still keeping these for future use if needed… just remember cameras are not weather proof! ... show more

Although the mounts are heavy duty, they do not fit well on thin aluminum gutters. They will tilt downward quickly even though they are tightened-down as much as possible. I don't expect them to stay in place very long, especitally after high winds.

    • Good choice if gutter mount is your only option

Picked up some Blink Outdoor cameras on Prime Day and while I know it comes with standard mounting hardware, where I wanted to place my cameras required a little different approach. So, I decided to try the gutter mounts. Installation was straightforward. Take out the rubber grommet on the back of the camera and pop in the mount adapter. That was a little difficult becuase it requires a bit of pressure and the plastic housing of the camera isn't very thick and bends easily. Nonetheless, once that is on, screw it onto the swivel mount and tighten and adjust to your liking. The mount base itself secures to the gutter using two long wingnut bolts and does a good job securing it place. The only thing I don't like about the mount is that it doesn't tighten the camera to the point it doesn't move. The camera itself can be too easily moved, even though I've tightened everything properly. The position of the mount doesn't move, just the camera itself, but it hasn't moved yet thankfully. A good strong gust of wind could change that though. A good gutter mount option, but I think eventually I am going to change it up to something that secures a bit better and possibly something that gives me the option to get the cameras out of direct sunlight. ... show more
