I like to take apart my older, broken, electronic devices for any useful parts. I tend to grab any screws, fuses, and wires, that I can use for other projects around my house. I used to have a larger operation of sorts, but had to downgrade when I moved into a smaller house. For the time being, I have been just putting things into an old coffee can, but it was starting to get full. The problem with the coffee can is that everything was just tossed into it, and in order to find anything, I had to basically pour the can out. Once I found what I was looking for, I had to put everything back in. Also, there were some larger parts that sort of fit in the can, but I had them elsewhere for space. When I came across this storage cabinet, I was elated. It reminded me of some of the storage bins I had before (I really don't know why I didn't think of this sooner). I searched around for different types, but decided on this one because it has 20 of the smaller drawers, and 6 of the larger drawers. Another selling point for me was the shorter style of it. I've had taller storage cabinets that sometimes had a tendency to topple over if you didn't have things stored right. With this shorter style, that should never be a problem. That pretty much covers what I need. Another nice aspect of this drawer set up is with the dividers. At first, I didn't know where they were because the cabinets I've had in the past typically needed a dedicated drawer to store everything. With this cabinet, they are attached on the back of the shelf for if/when you may need them. The cabinet is sturdy, and there are mounting screws on the back if you want to secure it to a wall, or other surface. The drawers feel kind of flimsy, but they hold up quite well. ... show more

I bought these cabinets to store small electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc. and they are almost perfect for this. I would have preferred all small drawers but I wanted the shorter cabinets so I could put them on my work table and not have them go above the window sill so I had to settle for cabinets with 20 small drawers and 6 large drawers. Before buying them I watched a video on a review that said there were dividers on the back of the cabinets. This is true, but the video neglected to say that for the 20 small drawers there are 8 dividers and for the 6 large drawers there are 4 dividers. Rather than double the price of the cabinet by buying additional dividers and since I wanted to divide the large drawers into fourths I decided to make my own dividers from the cardboard box the cabinets came in. Tedious work but quite doable. It would have been much better if the dividers had been supplied with the cabinets. Even after removing the dividers from the back of the cabinet it is still sturdy although I wouldn't put anything heavy on top of the cabinet. Just be careful when you remove the dividers so you don't break the support strip that is part of the cabinet. One sign of shoddy manufacturing is that many of the drawers still had bits of extra plastic along the edges which prevented the drawers from being pulled and pushed smoothly. Fortunately, the extra plastic is easily broken off. If you need a lightweight cabinet for small things and don't want to divide the drawers into small sections I would recommend this item. ... show more

I love this. I use it for my cabochons for making jewelry and it is very sturdy. I have tried other pieces and they all fell apart or could not hold the weight of my stones and metal. This not only is sturdy but has several benefits to it. The drawers each have a space under them so they will not fall through and they have a piece that keeps them from falling out the front when being opened. They also can be taken all the way out and have a sturdy plastic construction. Very happy with this. ... show more

I am an avid stitcher and had my regular floss stored in various containers, hard to find what I needed. I have recently discovered “garage” storage solutions a game changer…my working table is a garage cart with industrial wheels, much sturdier than the craft carts. So, when I needed a solution for floss storage I found this product, perfect! The drawers are slightly shorter than the floss, but it works as you can see in my photos. While I REALLY wanted to love this product, I just can’t. It looks nice and overall gets the job done, however, the drawers get caught every. Single. Time. They also have little ridges that make it nearly impossible for drawer labels to look nice.
