  • Works great.
Color: Yellow
I think it's a great rope. I've read reviews that it it will tangle up. I mean, what are you doing? Tying it in knots on purpose when you put it up? Its never tangled up on me. I used it for about half the summer EVERY weekend and there is NO sign of wear and if there is any stretch in it I couldn't tell so just buy the damn rope and try it. It's less than $100. ... show more

  • Pain to Coil - but a great trick rope.
Color: Green
This rope feels good in the hands - with a nice padded grip that is bumpy enough to not "slide" around. The rope itself is great - I did notice a difference between this rope and more common polypropylene ropes and I tended to get a little bit more of a solid landing on aerial tricks with this rope than I did previously. My only "knock" on this rope is that its a pain to coil and it likes to get tangled if not put away properly. The plastic coating near the handle also cracked after a few uses from banging up against my hydrofoil board. ... show more

  • it WAS - Great comfortable durable rope
Color: Green
02/17/2020 UPDATE My first purchase from 2016 was great, the one I received for 11/08/2019 purchase is NOT This feels as a completely different rope - different rope shape, harder to coil, lower quality handle, and IT DOES NOT FLOAT. The rope from 2016 was floating in its entirety, not just the handle, the entire rope floats nicely on the surface; the rope from 2019 does not float - only the handle does - the rope sinks causing the handle to float away from the wakeboarder. The shape of the rope itself is different. 2016 rope was round, making it ok to coil up; the 2019 rope is flat, like a rectangle making it much harder to coil. Finally, the handle on 2019 rope has separated at the seam just after a handful of uses. Very disappointed with the quality and construction of 2019 rope. Submitting warranty request now as I'm out of return period. I've been using this rope almost weekly (sometimes more frequently than that) since June 2016 in salt water and it's still in good shape - the handle is finally getting beat up but still grips ok. The rope has no stretch, at least I cant feel any, floats, but not the easiest to coil up. Knots are very hard to untangle, I've dealt with one, but still manageable to undo even after riding with one. I'm going to buy the same replacement as this rope served me very well ... show more

  • Questionable design & neutral buoyancy
Color: Yellow
Pros: * The Dyneema Flat Line Wakeboard Rope does provide a good response for an advance wakeboarder. * Thermal-coated Dyneema rope does provide a fairly tangle free line. * The wakeboard handle’s 15-inch EVA grip does provides a secure and comfortable hold. Cons: * The line has neutral buoyancy. Meaning the line does not float but the line does not sink. The bright yellow color does helps to spot it, but the line was about 3 feet under water and reaching for it while feet were inserted in the wakeboard and wearing a PFD was difficult. If it were not for the floating handle perhaps the line would sink? * The Dyneema Flat Line Wakeboard Rope we received had several kinks and a split in the line which increased as we used it a few times. * Due to the lake water not being pristine, the frustration of searching for the line under the water was the most annoying aspect of using the Dyneema Flat Line Wakeboard Rope & Handle. We returned it. ... show more

  • Nice rope. Love the handle. Can't wait to try it out!!
Color: Green
After I read 40 plus positive reviews and only a couple bad ones, I went ahead and ordered this rope. As usual, Amazon had it here in 3 days (February-won't need it for a few months). I am a touch over 200 lbs and my buddy is around 240, so we'll have to see how it holds up. The actual rope diameter is about half that of the $20 ski rope I used last year, but the handle looks way more user friendly. I will update my review in June when I've had a few chances to "test" it's strength. May change it to a 5 star rating. Didn't want to go three stars and scare a potential buyer off. We'll see May 1st.1!!!! Okay, tried this rope out last week and absolutely love it! There are no knots to mess with, it floats on the surface the entire length, and the color is very visible on the surface of the lake. There is no stretch with this rope and you are able to shorten it if need be. Don't be fooled by the rope diameter (as I was). It works. ... show more

  • Better than a cheap poly... but not the best
Color: Green
Being spectra, this is definitely better than your average cheap ski rope. However, I have owned higher quality wakeboard ropes in the past, and I don't think this truly can compete with a quality mainline or other well known rope/wakeboard brand rope/handle combo. I usually destroy my ropes in a prop or lose them before they get wrecked and this thing is pretty much wrecked after a few years of use. My issues... 1. The thing is the biggest pain in the butt to coil. It always gets tangled and never wants to lay down. 2. I've gotten a few years of light Minnesota summer only use out of it, so really probably < 50 runs and the handle is destroyed. This isn't bad, but I had a mainline handle that literally lasted 10 years. 3. The rope itself doesn't stretch but whenever I'm getting up, I seem to feel a little bit of give, I can't figure out where it is coming from. Maybe its in my tower, or in the rope sections, but I'm not fully convinced its not stretch. 4. This thing is a pain in the butt to try and shorten with a second loop. I like to pull beginners that are trying to learn to jump slow with a very short rope and the plastic coat got wrecked when I tried to do this. ... show more
