This 10ftx3.3ftx4in, Air Track tumbling and dance mat was just what I needed to make my nine-year-old daughter feel better. She does competitive modern dance with a team; and part of that requires her to learn gymnastic-tumbling moves for the dances; but recently, their big dog was accidently left inside, and the lab chewed a hole in her last tumbling mat while everyone was gone. Losing her practice mat made for a very upset little girl. This Air Tac mat is for her safety-protection while she's practicing her "acro-dance moves" at home. While not a complete guard against all types of injury, this well-built air-filled mat goes a long way in helping prevent concussions, ligament tears, and wrist and ankle sprains which are all common when practicing many types of gymnastic or acrobatic moves. This mat has handles which make it easier than her last one to move around, which was a nice bonus! This tumbling mat is easy to blow up with the pump and nozzle feature that comes with the set. (In fact, it works so well, I wish I had a pump just like this for my house because it's great for a wide variety of inflatables.) Additionally, this mat is easy to store, either behind the couch and up against a wall, or deflated and in put away in the nice sized bag that's also included in this set. This isn't a gymnastics-dance mat isn't a tool just for girls, our younger grandson's tumble on it also. They use it to practice cartwheels, leg-split jumps, and summersaulting whenever they see it's out and their sister isn't practicing. As mentioned, I purchased the 10ftx3.3ftx4in size which fits in an average sized living room very well. The mat is tough and can also be used outside. In fact, my grandkids have even had their mat out in the pool at times to use as a balance feature for the older ones and a sitting-dock area for the youngest. They hose the chlorine off afterwards and let it air dry before returning it to the house. This Air Tac set is priced at $99.99 for the 10ftx3.3ftx4in size of this set. It's a important investment in safety for any youth who is involved in tumbling, gymnastics, or dance but it's also a great indoor/outdoor entertainment tool, and it could even be used to replace mom's yoga mats. This mat comes with an electric air pump that fills the mat very quickly. The air valve is designed well, keeping the air in with the cover off when not being "activated" and only requiring a partial turn to either attach the cover or the air pump. The pump can also be used in reverse for fully deflating the mat. With some patience, the deflated mat can be folded and rolled into a surprisingly small package. The storage bag that came with it seems only about a third full when I put the mat and pump in it. I'm guessing that the same storage bag comes with all the sizes, so the 20ft version probably just barely fits. As for use, this floats very nicely and is structurally rigid enough to do so some yoga while floating around in a pool. Used on a hard floor this will provide plenty of give for tumbling or to prevent strain from repetitive impact activities. I was so impressed with this tumbling mat. I bought it for my niece and it took my husband about 5 minutes to fully inflate it with the electric air pump. It comes with a manual pump but that would have taken us forever to fully inflate it so we decided otherwise. Once inflated it is pretty ridged and suprisingly the material is pretty rigid and it feels pretty strong. It stays in place while in use and it's heavy duty. We ordered the smaller size but it is just what we need. This tumbling mat is very well worth the money and it exceeded our expectations. It's hours worth of fun and practice for my neice. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great mat. ... show more

We ordered the 6.6 ft air track for our kids, ages 8, 6, and 2. The 8- and 6-year-old both attended gymnastics previously and love to do tumbles and cartwheels. We have some fairly open spaces in our house; so, we don’t mind them doing it indoors, but worry about them hurting themselves on the wood floor or bumping into something. This air track solved that problem by creating a designated, cushioned spot for these activities. It’s small enough that we can easily move it out of the way if needed, but big enough for them to have some fun. I will say, that the 6.6 ft length is not really long enough for an adult to do a cartwheel without landing off the end, though I have done some tumbles down it with no problem. Or if a kid wanted to do two or three flips, they would probably run out of room too. I was initially concerned that it would slip if the kids ran on it, but the grips on the bottom and sides are very strong. The whole track seems to be made of a thick material. Another concern of mine is how this material stands up to pet claws—both dog and cat. For the most part, we move it out of the way if we know our dog is in the house; but he did walk on a corner and lay on it one day when I wasn’t thinking about it. There was no noticeable damage, but he wasn’t playing rough. We also have a kitten who really loves to scratch. Fortunately, I haven’t caught her attacking the air track, but based on the toughness of the material, I think she would have a hard time actually poking a hole in it. The inflator that it came with was easy to use, and it blew up fairly quickly. As the paperwork indicated and as can be expected, the air track does lose air over time. It seems like with regular use by all three kids, it deflates noticeably every other day or so. So far, reinfecting it hasn’t been too much trouble. Overall, this air track would make a great purchase if you have kids who can’t get enough of tumbling, as long as your have a big clear spot for it. ... show more
