I bought the 1/2 inch. This means that, laying flat, the sleeve is 1/2 inch across. The actual, un-stretched diameter of the sleeve is closer to 1/4 inch. It's a good product, but you should order a larger size than you believe you need.

So I’m rewiring a classic Bronco, and the only thing this is good for is long wire runs where there is no connector at the end. Basically it’s good for raw wire, and that’s it. I have a huge spool and only used about 7 feet total. The rest of the wire is covered in split wrap, which is much easier to use between connectors and branches off the main harness. Not the best to use for covering electrical cords or wiring to prevent chewing by cats. Kitties teeth are very small & can penetrate the mesh too easily. Had to purchase a different item to prevent electrical shock to kitties.
