  • Horrible failure for Weed Control!
I unfortunately have to say this is the worst ground cover I have ever purchased! My initial purchase was for 15 rolls to control the weeds between my new lavender farm plants. We put the rolls down and within 2 weeks the product was already breaking down before we could get sand cover over it. I contacted the company, and they told me the item was biodegradable and needs to be covered immediately. This is not made clear in the description of the item at all. They sent me new rolls, I paid for labor again with a second team coming up right behind and covering the "Weed Control Cloth" with a 3" layer of cover per their instructions. Come spring this year (not 9 months after the second team process and my start up expense) the weeds were so bad we couldn't even see the lavender plants... the cloth is fully denigrated and what parts I can see are like tissue paper. I have had to get now a third team in to hand-weed (we are organic) at my cost again to find that nearly a third of my crop perished from being chocked out with weeds!! This will now put me behind by over a year. I am a start up so this has been a major hit to me and my family. I now have to purchase other weed cloth and pay for labor for a third time to put the new cloth down. I will never buy this product ever again. I am including pictures of the "weed control" covered rows chocked out with weeds as well as a row after weeding showing we did cover the cloth as instructed. ... show more

  • Grass grows through it.
Weed block is supposed to do one thing. Its supposed to stop weeds from growing through the weed block. This product fails. I planted an area with new shrubs and mulch. Now grass is just growing through the weed block. You can see from the pictures where I removed the mulch. And then where I removed the grass. A perfect circle where the grass just pierced the weed block. If it was just one spot, it would be ok, but it is in many many spots. Now its to late to do anything about it. ... show more

  • Weeds grow through it. See my pic!
I ordered two of these 300' rolls and spent a full weekend stapling all of it under about a dozen large, mulched flower beds. After about 10 days, I noticed vegetation growing up through the mulch. I assumed that meant that some weed seed ended up in the mulch and the weeds were growing "above" the barrier fabric. I was WRONG. The weeds were growing up through the fabric. Unbelievable. Wasted time and money. I can't imagine what it is going to be like to remove 1.5 tons of mulch by hand in order to replace the fabric with a brand that works. If I could give it zero stars I would. ... show more

This was put down in the fall and covered in mulch. Weeds and grass have been coming through it (not at seams but through actual fabric) since January.

  • It's piece of junk
I expected that this weed barrier works as they advertised it. It advertised as Premium but it is really thin and easy to tore. I put this weed barrier on my lawn hoping that will keep weed out on my lawn for at least a year before coming back because I need to put some landscape rocks, however, it's only 2 months after I laid this crap and the weed keeps mushrooming. The worst thing is on some parts that I haven't put any rocks on it because I need to order more, it tore away blown by wind. It's a waste of money and false advertising. They should NOT put Premium on the title. If I can put zero star, I will do. Amazon needs to do QA on the products. ... show more

  • Excellent!
This stuff is way nicer than I thought it would be. I had some old landscaping tarp that I was using for a project and needed more so I bought this. This fabric is WAY better than the crap I was using! It wasn't as stiff so it laid easier. It's also thicker and tougher so it better withstood the pokey weeds I was covering. It rained right after I finished so I got to see first hand how well the water infiltrated. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

  • Working as Expected
We laid fabric over a large area over the last few weeks and have had no trouble with this product. We covered it the same day with a thick layer of cedar bark chips so it had little sun exposure. I have gone back and spot checked a few locations by sweeping off the chips and cannot find any locations where vegetation has grown through. One key distinction is that we removed all vegetation from the surface before placing the fabric. In a couple of places we left the ends of a run uncovered to tie into it in the near future. Those areas have gotten plenty of sun and I do not see any degradation of the material. It is unclear to me how others have had trouble with this product. ... show more
