I have the 5.8 Gal variation of this product. There is a picture on the listing of it sitting next to a washing machine, but given it's actual height, that washing machine would have to be only 20" tall. In reality, in 5.8 Gal, this product is 14" wide, 11" deep, and 30" tall. The construction would NOT allow you or your kids to sit on top either, it's rather flimsy. You won't want to store anything heavy in here. You can't use the parts of this separately, there is only one 'lid' so while you could use just 1, 2 or 3 of the units, the remainder wouldn't have a lid/top, so there's no option to have 2 stacks of 2 vs. 1 stack of 4, for instance. The pieces come folder up. Unfolding and clipping together is easy, although the clips that hold the individual boxes to the one above are kind of hard to get in place, everything has to be perfectly lined up. I've placed this next to my work desk and use the space on top for extra desk space, with the boxes being extra storage for things I use less often. The height works out well for the height of my desk. Two tiny magnets hold each door closed, they're not going to fall open by themselves. Anything you put in here is staying in here. ... show more

These four shelves went together in total in under 5 minutes. They are stackable and sturdy. It is nice that they have a door in the front to keep things contained. There is a wide range of usese for these from extra pantry storage, to putting one or two in a suitcase to be a makeshift dresser if you are going someplace you know wont have one. (not for a long trip) Note - there is only 1 top as was noted in the description - so they are not stand alone boxes. I did not see anywhere on their site where you could purchase extra lids. That might be a nice option for them to offer in the future. ... show more

    • Missing magnetic catches

There are a total of 8 holes for the magnetic catches. 4 of them have magnets and 4 do not. I searched the packaging to no avail. These catches are so small it’s very very unlikely that they can be found elsewhere. There is no info regarding the manufacturer or assembly companies. I guess I’m out of luck. 2 doors that function and 2 doors that don’t stay closed. Very poor quality control. ... show more

The drawers are not very well made! I had to be very careful with the plastic tabs as I was afraid I might break them, trying to attach them to the corresponding grids. The finished product looked good, but not as easy to put together, as claimed by the seller!

These went together super easy. I had the whole thing assembled before I even noticed the instructions in the box, so there’s that. There is only one top piece, so the bins can’t be used separately; they must be stacked. The doors have a magnetic latch, but you do have to make sure both corners are shut, since sometimes if you close it with just the handle, one corner will not close. The bins are a little too small for storing shoes, but that wasn’t their intended purpose anyway. Once assembled, it’s fairly sturdy, though I don’t know how much weight load it can bear. The pictures imply a small human could sit on it, but I would advise against that. This is nice for those small random things that I use every now and again, but keep misplacing because I either have them in small totes that get moved constantly, or one large tote that the stuff gets lost in. Or if I just try to do too much at once in a limited space and need a place to keep things out of the way. I might even use it to separate supplies for dry sanding, wet sanding, polishing, and buffing - just to keep everything handy but keeping the grits away from each other. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just scoop up my things and separate them into the containers. It looks a lot better than the piles of things I had accumulated. These are smaller so they are going into the closet. They snapped together easily and fold up for space saving. They have a great price right now. ... show more

A very beautiful and practical storage box. The off-white + brown door panel looks very good. Suitable for simple home style. The capacity is much larger than imagined. All cat food and treats can be placed inside. This is a storage box for cats. What was originally a mess on the TV cabinet is now much neater. The brown transparent door allows you to clearly see what's inside. The two opening methods are also very convenient for access. You can also open the top lid to refill cat food and treats.
