I got this at the request of my 11 y/o daughter. I am not 100% sure why she chose the colors that she did, since the purple one has no significance to us, only the green (fake emerald) one for her birthstone. This is a really pretty necklace, and it is very high quality. I really hope that it will not tarnish for a very long time, but only time can truly give us that answer. I will surely be back to update my review if we encounter any quality issues anytime soon! The Cubic Zirconia heats, one bigger one, with a smaller one inside of it, as well as the Rose Gold colored Rose on it give this a very pretty, loving look. That's why I wish she would have chosen my birthstone, and hers...but oh well. She loves the green and purple colors, so that's all that matters I suppose. The Sterling Silver chain and clasp are durable, well made, and give you the option to have the chain's length be 18, 19, or 20", one of the three. Overall, My Daughter absolutely LOVES her new necklace, and she has me put it on her every single day, and take it off of her every single night before she washes her face and goes to bed. I don't think there has been a day that she hasn't worn it since she got it!! We would absolutely both HIGHLY Recommend this necklace!! The only thing I would say you should make sure to do is look at what the measurements actually look like, using a ruler or measuring tape. My wife saw this and wanted to get this for her two grand children. It is beautiful as it has a rose gold rose, sterling silver heart with Cubic Zirconia stones in the heart, and two birthstones. The problem will be when the 3rd grand child comes along. But for now, it's a beautiful necklace. It comes in a nice gift box and is packaged so the necklace doesn't get tangled up. The rose is a little big but the color is nice. This allows for so many stone combinations. The problem is when you will need 3 stones. This is such a beautiful symbol to honor any loved one passed or present. This is a very pretty, and hefty, birthstone necklace. You can choose from any two months, for yourself and a partner, or, in my case, my son and grandson. You can also choose two of the same month, had I wanted one for my daughter and me, for example. The gift box is beautiful, and has a soft inner pouch as well.
