This is the third LED light and this one is much better than the other two. I put it to the same height as my other lights and it burned the plants. Follow the directions on height. It's incredible the light it puts out. I will only buy this light in the future.

It's not the white light spectrum more amber with red LEDs. Looks like hps with extra red. It does have the white LEDs but more amber LEDs. Very bright. Haven't used it yet.

Like many, I was looking to upgrade my (2) Mars Hydro SP3000's (single bar style lighting) to the new more equally distributed bar style lighting that this one offers. Like with some of us, I use a PPFD meter to determine light intensity and distance. When I first got this, I thought it was very high in the orange range (photo on the Right). I proped it up to 11in. off my kitchen floor and measured the light. If you zoom in, it reads 984.2. Not close the the 1168 they claim closest to the driver. So I thought there was a malfunction so I had it replaced. Sadly the 2nd one that showed up was the exact same. Sadly, I had to conclude that this light, while nice in appearance and does a great job filling a 4 x 4 tent, was requiring me to keep my lights 8in. off the canopy just to get that 984. The driver runs very hot and with 8in; off the canopy, cooling was a real challenge. After some homework and for $130 more, I went with the light on the right, the Mars Hydro Smart FC4800. (it even has an app. for your phone and you can control light intensity that way as well) This light has a little smaller foot print, and runs off of 480w as to the 600w for the AGLEX. It also runs much cooler. This is the light on the right. Yes, when they measure lights, they are done in a mylar box to reflect it back. But apples to apples, off my floor, at 11in. you can see I'm pulling 1184 PPFD under the same condition as the AGLEX. Now I'm pulling 1050 PPFD at the canopy level, 12in. off the top, and at 90% max. power. AGLEX was really good about their return policy, and had the light performed as the illustration claimed, I would have kept it. It just didn't. If what you grow is not a high light intensity plant, then this may be a good fit for the "budget minded". For those who need more intense light, then this is not for you. ... show more

For the money it’s hard to do better. Finishing up my first grow with it along with two 100watt aglex and its done great. Will keep using for veg stage in 2x4 tent. Will upgrade to 4x4 for flower with larger light. Heat is not a problem. Helped make for a very successful grow. If you want to get the job done on a budget this is it. Bought this on sale. I like the lamp. Great for a 4'x4' tent (like mine) since it completely fills the tent top and the lighting is all equally spaced out. I keep it at 25% and it runs super cool. Cranked up to 100% and it produces alot more BTUs but so far my sunflowers are doing great at 25%
