It's true "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number" and the way that Aaliyah put together and out there only confirms. Aaliyah's debut album is almost as old as Aaliyah was when her life was cut short. I've always had a special affection for "Back and Forth" and "At Your Best (You are Love)"; however, after hearing the whole album (several times, I might add) I have fallen in love with her voice all over again. So, much so that I recently purchased One In A Million and her self-titled Aaliyah, all after an VH1 Behind the Music special. It is sad that we will never get to realize Aaliyah's full potential, but there are reminders out there of how special she was and we must appreciate those gifts and her music. "Age Ain't Nothing But a Number" is truly a must have album of the late Aaliyah -- one listen and you will be hooked on her voice and will listen to it over and over and over again. ... show more

This cd was Aaliyah's debut cd, and it was very nice. R Kelly obviously had alot to do with this project since he can be heard all over it. Aaliyah had a sweet and melodic voice, and I hadn't heard this cd in years. Some of my favorite songs are Back & forth, At your best, I'm so into you, Old school, and I'm down..If you are an Aaliyah fan get this asap! ... show more

    • A great classic began as a tomboy to later grow as an r&b diva
This debut is not her best work but great to listen. Beginning as a tomboyish and more hip hop vibe rather than r&b. When your in the mood to be hype this album will definitely get you there. The favorite song from age ain't nothing but a number is "no one knows how to love me quite the way you do" it has that fast 90s get up out of your seat kind of mood. ... show more

Aaliyah's debut album K2 24 bit remaster from Japan w/ bonus tracks not on the U.S. release. Great sound quality, and so amazing that Aaliyah was only 14 when the album was produced, and you wouldn't think you were listening to someone 14 years old when you hear this phenomenal album. Aaliyah was an all around beautiful individual, and an outstanding artist. Love this album. ... show more
