I love this book! I never used to keep one but after a long gym hiatus, I started from the beginning. The logbook has plenty of space and is perfect for tracking my goals and gains.

  • Perfect fitness journal
Style: Fitness Journal
Perfect fitness journal. Allows you to customize what your fitness goals are, comes with a measuring tape which is helpful, nice easy to use format. I personally didn’t really need all of the mini pages showing you how to do various exercises, but I guess that’s nice for people who find that helpful. ... show more

  • Room for Reps AND Weight -- per set!
Style: Fitness Journal
I really would prefer a HARD back fitness book, as i believe it would hold up better thrown in my gym bag etc... however, if you are OK with not having hard covers, this book has everything i can think of. I already know what exercises i want to do, so I'm not using the pages that show different exercises for different muscle groups, but for new exercises, it could be very helpful... or if you're needing new ideas to shake things up, it doesn't hurt to have extra information. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING in a fitness tracker, in my opinion, is to have the 2 columns per set, 1 for weight and 1 for reps; and this tracker has that. (In the past, a lot of books had one column for weight, and then a column for each set, to put number of reps. While it's often the goal to be able to do many sets of the same weight, sometimes that ISN'T the goal, and other times we just realize we need to drop the weight--or add more weight-- before we finish.) Having undated days is important also. Exercise once a week? Great. 5 times a week? That works too! Exercise 5 times on a regular basis and then take a month off? No problem, just jump right back in on the next page! The measurements aren't something I've really used in the past. I usually record my weight once a week and take a picture facing the mirror, and a sideways picture once a week. On weeks that the scale isn't doing what i expect, i use the pictures to remind myself of how far I've come. But, one day this summer, my daughter and i took pictures of our arm measurements because we wanted to see if jumping rope could help slim down our arms. Since this book had room for measurements, i went ahead and took measurements just for the heck of it. To try out my tape measure, maybe?! Idk. Anyway, i wrote it down, and then my curiosity got the better of me and i found my picture from 2 months before. I was so surprised to see that i had lost 1.25 inches off each of my "bicep" (read: arm flab) measurements... so maybe it is a good idea to fill these numbers out every so often! :D Unless you want hard back covers, this fitness journal has everything i think anyone would need, and I'm very happy with mine! ... show more
