It would probably also work great as a carry on for short trips. Feels sturdy and I have really loaded it up several times. Most backpacks seem the same when viewing them on line. This one is a winner, Durable and soft. Very strong and comfortable. Great for anything, even as a baby's bag. Enough room for so many items. Would definitely recommend.
