While they are perfectly suitable for hiking purposes, I would not recommend them for everyday use. The cushioning is not as soft as I would have liked, and after prolonged wear, I found that my feet would feel fatigued. It would have been nice to have a bit more cushioning or support in the midsole to enhance comfort during extended periods of walking or standing. That being said, for their intended purpose as hiking shoes, the adidas Terrex AX4 shoes offer durability and stability. This is intended only for those who are looking at these for disc golf. These are amazingly comfortable out of the box. You won’t have any issues with them being stiff. They grip turf tee pads and concrete great. However, they do not last that long. I received these early May and now in mid July the tread on my pivot foot is nearly gone. The rubber they use is incredibly grippy but soft. Meaning they will wear down fast. If you don’t play a ton of golf, these would be amazing. But for those of us playing 5-6 rounds a week or more, I’d look at something a bit more durable. ... show more

I love these shoes. I walk for a living and these are my go to shoes. Comfortable out of the box no break in required. The soles wear out but I think that’s due to the mileage I put on them if you were getting them for every day shoes they would last a long time. I constantly look for a deal on these. These shoes are great. They are a little wide in the toe - but that doesn't bother me because I like to wear 2 pairs of socks when hiking anyway. They look good and are extremely comfortable.

I'm a big adidas fan and needed a shoe that was comfortable and had great traction. I live in Appalachia and nothing but my house floor is flat. These makes hiking up/down hills easy because of the traction. Try em out.
