  • Great shoe, just size DOWN
Size: 13 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
This is my first true MTB shoe, and whoa. I now know what all the fuss is about. I can't compare to higher end MTB shoes, but if you're a regular rider on a trail bike with your common descents and jumps, then I can't see how you could possibly need anything more than these. If you're looking for your first pair of MTB shoes and don't want to spend a bunch of money, these are a great choice. They are stiff, so not the best option for casual walking, but they still look good and can function as such if you need them to. JUST BE SURE TO SIZE DOWN. I'm usually a 13 (I ordered the 13 and it was too big), and the 12 fits just right. ... show more

  • Good for casual rides
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
These are good looking and comfortable shoes. They are not a great trail shoe. I have a pair of 5 10 free rider pros that are too stiff to walk in so I bought there for rides with the family that lead to exploring on foot. They are perfect for that. They work well for more casual rides but are not the greatest trail shoe. They have a ton of flex in the sole, the toe is not reinforced, and the grip is the worse of any 5 10's I have ever had but....they are comfortable and walk well so they meet their purpose for me. ... show more

  • Perfect bike commuter shoes
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
Ok so I really like Adidas footwear. I generally wear a size 12 in Adidas. I went with an 11.5 based on other reviews and that seems about right. I also own a pair of 5-10 Freeride MTB shoes in a size 12. I probably could have gone with size 12 with an insole insert and been ok. These are stiff soled bike shoes and as such flat with very little cushy support. I put in some generic arch inserts in. I’m using these as bike to work shoes mostly. They are also styling enough to wear at work. They are not as beefy as my 5-10 MTB shoes. See pics comparing the shoes. 5-10s have to black sole. These shoes are really cool looking so I’m not planning on using them off road, but I think they would work fine. I feel like they are similar to lace up Vans but with a thicker more durable sole. Over all at $80 these are a great value for stylish shoes that work great for peddling. ... show more

  • Nice solid shoe
Size: 13 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
Nice shoes. Heel half of shoe is nice and stiff which sets these shoes apart from regular “vans” or “samba” style shoes since they’re designed for Biking. Fair price. Comfortable to wear. Front has normal flex so basically they feel like any other style low top sneaker. Comfortable. I’d say they run a tad large but just get the normal size you wear. They will fit and won’t feel too big. ... show more

  • Great shoe
Size: 12 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
I wasn't sure about these. I have a wide foot and typically wear a 4E. But before discovering 4E width shoes I could always wear normal D shoes, there was just a "break in" period. I didn't have any issues with these, they felt comfortable right out of the box. The provide more grip on my pedals and I actually feel safer on downhills. Overall it's a great shoe! ... show more

  • Good Fit - Great Style
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
Product exceeded my expectations. My wife's first comments: "those are too nice to take mountain biking, you should just wear those every day". Sorry - I bought them to Mountain Bike. Might need to get me another pair for everyday wear.

  • Exceeded my expectations
Size: 11.5 Color: Core Black/Core Black/Gum M2
I switched from SPD to flats after I took a few years off from mountain biking. The sleuth works way better than I ever expected; it's easier to feel where your foot is on the pedal, and when I mess up, i'm coming off the pedals less often. It did feel initially like the soles were too soft underfoot, but by the end of the first ride I was used to it. I'm shocked at how sticky the soles are. Fit: The fit is weird, the shoes are slightly narrower and slightly longer than average. My true size is something like a 10.5 wide, but a normal 11.5 is a perfect fit in: New Balance, Danner, Montrail, Columbia. This shoe is borderline too long and too narrow at 11.5, but fine for on a bike. To me, these have that European Adidas\Puma shape rather than an American shape. ... show more

  • Well these are not the 510s I used to love
Size: 6 Color: Feather Grey/Sesame/Glow Orange
From my pawrent nondog related lol Cute as these are they are really useless as a MTB shoe. The point of a MTB shoe is to have stiff soles and be grippy for the pedals. These are neither :( the original fiveten sleuths that I have like this are wonderful stiff soled and grippy. These bend over the pedals while riding and the grip is not there and you slide all over if you have to walk the trail at all. Wish I could return them but cant now. They are also sized way off - I had to size down to a 6 (normally a 7) and they were still a bit big. What did adidas do here- ruined a great shoe when they took over the 510 line. 😞 🐾 for being cute but will be wearing them just as sneakers not for riding. ... show more
