I also own the 1st generation of the Primex. I like both gens but this is more comfortable in terms of underfoot stability as well as comfort tying down over top of the shoe. The cushioning and energy return from both generations is tremendous!

Had some old shoes that were very worn down after 2 years of consistent running. Changing to this shoe helped me straighten out my gait. Although the shoe can be a bit unbalanced, it helps keep my feet moving in a straight line. Speed certainly improved as well. No complaints.

Yes, you have to run somewhat fast to keep them stable, but you will barely feel yourself trying to run fast, these shoes just propel you. Definitely not a walking or slow pace shoe.

This shoe is designed for a runner to use as a recovery shoe (after a long run). It has a crazy tall stack height that provided incredible cushion. But because of the stack height it is lacking side to side stability. This is acceptable if you know beforehand about this, and when used on normal surfaces (flat) it does not cause any issues. I am not a runner but I do walk a lot and I am a little over weight so these shoes were purchased to provide the best cushioning for my feet and they do an excellent job of that.
