I bought my first Aden and Anais blanket with my second son while we were in the hospital with an extended NICU stay. The blanket quickly became my favorite and I wish I had it with my first baby. They are durable, large, wash well, and get better (and softer) with time. I ran across this pattern and couldn't get it out of my brain, so I decided to add this set to the one I always used. I use these blankets ALL the time - they go with me everywhere. I have used them for swaddling, a nursing over, a car seat cover (in a light drizzle or a windy walk), a blanket, a sun shade, a burp cloth, to sop up messes, and to clean off my older kids face/skin after muddy or sandy play. Throw them in the wash and they are good to go. I would highly recommend these to any new momma or a mother that has kiddos and is on the fence about purchasing. I love these blankets, and so does my baby boy. They are the perfect size for swaddling or for covering his car seat or stroller to keep out the sun. They are also lightweight & breathable, which is great for warm climates! These blankets hold up well in the wash (just don't wash them with anything that has Velcro) and they get softer with each wash. The best part about these, at least for a Disney fan like myself, is that they are Jungle Book themed! ... show more

These blankets are amazing. When you first get them, they don't seem that soft but don't fret, they will soften in the wash a little. However, I like that they are not as soft and slick as the swaddle designs. Because they are a little rougher, they don't shrink nearly as much and are easier to fold. Another benefit to the slight roughness is that your baby stays swaddled. My little one is an escape artist and would never stay swaddled in the swaddle designs but she still hasn't been able to escape a swaddle with these blankets. And the colors are wonderful! Just as bright as the picture. And they have held up to several washings a week. ... show more

I didn't realize just how much we'd love these when i registered for a set before my first baby. They are beautiful swaddles, lightweight and wash up well. We use them nightly to swaddle our July-born baby (they are not too hot), as well as to prop his head up with breastfeeding, cover in stroller, car seat and swing, and lay him on for diaper changes, tummy time, etc. I love them so much I bought another set so I have 8 which is perfect. The rockstar set is much softer than the high seas - I think because of the print. Our baby is starting to be a little tall for the full body swaddle at 6 weeks (11 lb, 24 in) - we just tuck the tail end of swaddle into the swaddle fold as opposed to over the shoulder. He can break out of these swaddles once he wakes up but I'm ok with that as he's in the bassinet right next to me so I can hear him waking as he grunts to bust out :). These keep his legs nice and compact as opposed to the sleepsack which restrains arms better but with his little legs flailing he was always waking up. Some babies also self soothe with hands so it's nice he can get them out if he really needs to. Perfect registry/new baby gift. ... show more
