I purchased this frame for a Father's Day gift for my husband. I put pictures of the kids holding the letters D A D D Y. This frame worked perfectly as it had 5 openings that were 4x6's. The only drawback, and this is definitely NOT a deal-breaker, but the back is one solid piece (each window does not have it's own cover), and I had to tape my photos to keep them centered in the openings of the frames. Also, be sure to note that this is a frame that is meant to be hung on the wall. It does not have a stand to sit up by itself. That should be self-evident from the title, "wall hanging" frame, but just wanted to throw that out there. :) ... show more

I bought several divided open frames on Amazon, and the Adeco 5 divided openings and the 7 divided openings were the best -- the frames were smoothly finished with a polished look -- even if it was more plastic than wood feel. Some other products had glued together frames that looked cheap -- not a problem here. Some folks complained that there were not separate openings in the back so you had to tape the pictures one by one. I personally don't think that's a big issue, but the frames in the back is one long photo, so you have to tape them in place. Also, the pane was glass and not plastic. The color was a bit more red than I anticipated, but other than that this was a good purchase! ... show more

Well, I had been wanting a nice picture frame to display all my vignettes of the past elegantly...after some careful shopping around I settled on this one...I've gotten kind of bummed out from the poor quality of picture frames from some of these discount retailers....(had one that broke or got cracked once) Was real excited to get this and I have to say packaging was excellent...arrived in a timely manner as well...Please keep this in mind if you do decide to purchase this item...This frame does not have individual slots for all 5 pictures. You will need to stagger your photos side by side or they will move around...I used the filler paper on the inside as a guide and some double-sided adhesive tape to arrange my pictures. It is designed to hold five 4" b y 6" pictures...all of them EITHER portrait or landscape orientation, but not both. Then I replaced the back side, unfortunately I was taken aback by the fact that the back panel thingy did not sit right (I had to use duct tape to secure it.) There are the little tab things, but they didn't seem very secure to me. Lastly, when you get ready to hang your work, there are open slots on the back for either side of hanging...but NOT the apparatus for stringing the wire from one side to the other common with custom made picture frames. It may be possible for me to install two little eyehook thingys but probably not easy; something I may have to figure out on my own. No, I am not a professional framer or anything, just someone who's bought picture frames AND dealt with custom framing of my work so I do know that the latter option is better. Many times I find that custom framing can be pricey so I just purchase and use eyehooks, wire, and do the measuring myself. I have been in multiple art shows so I've learned a lot about this common issue! Not to discourage anyone from buying this frame but wanted others to be aware of the above caveats I mentioned; I suppose it depends on what your needs are and how much time you want to spend on framing your pictures. Right now my frame is sitting on a shelf until I can figure out how to modify the little open slots on the back...I HATE dealing with nails and I will either use those plastic adhesive hooks or just not hang anything on the wall that seems a little heavy. I do have a stud finder...but I'm kind of lazy and I just play it safe sometimes!! ... show more

    • Beautiful frames
We ordered two of these, two each of four opening and seven opening 4x6s, and six opening 5x7s. Each was in a separate box, set in a Styrofoam tray made for it. Out of the eight frames ordered, a couple have blemishes but nothing you wouldn't get buying off the shelf at a store. We're very happy with all of them and will be ordering more. EDIT (Nov 5, 2014) We now have 14 of these. All were well packaged for shipping and, aside from a couple minor blemishes, they look great. The one piece backing is very easy to open/close. We haven't needed to tape any pictures in place, the back is tight enough to keep them from shifting. We're still very happy with these frames. ... show more

Quality picture frame! We used it for a gift for our grandfather's 80th - each pair of grandkids/great-grandkids held up a letter to spell his name and had a picture taken. Then all were put into the frame to spell out his name. It was perfect. The frame had no damage to it, was solid, and easy to remove the back to insert the pictures.
