It fits my M&P 15 Sport 2 like it was made for it. The only negative if I was forced to find one would be a lack of thicker padding. But, it's a .223, so not an issue really worth mentioning. I would recommend this product.

    • Fits Like A Glove On My Smith and Wesson M&P 15!
While searching online for a suitable stock butt pad for my Smith & Wesson M&P 15, I was a bit frustrated by the myriad of choices and/or options. I'm very particular when it comes to accessories for my firearms, especially my AR. There's no way of knowing how a specific product is going to fit/look until you have it in hand. I decided on this butt pad, knowing I could always return it if I wasn't pleased. I am very happy I ordered this one! My main concern was how it was going to fit. I could tell from the photos how it looked. I can say without the slightest hesitation, if you are looking for a suitable butt pad for your Smith and Wesson M&P 15, this one fits like it was made for this rifle! It doesn't offer a lot of cushion, but I wasn't looking for that in the first place. If you are looking for cushioning as your #1 criterion, then this may not be the pad for you. If you want a pad that fits like a glove, looks great, and offers protection for the end of your stock, then buy this one. It was very easy to put on. Every now and then one gets lucky and orders, with uncertainty at first, an online product that totally and completely satisfies your needs/expectations. This was one of those orders! I used this on a standard collapsible AR style stock with a stubbly surface on an AK. When wearing a plate carrier or other setup it wasn't usually an issue, but when wearing just a tshirt, it wasn't painful, but I'd take my shirt off later and see my shoulder red. I have a torn labrum anyways, and the plastic digging though a shirt wasn't helpful, no matter how tightly I held the stock, or placed the stock closer to the center of the chest. This was an inexpensive, but nearly bomb proof solution. It works as a mild recoil buffer, too, but if you want something to use as a recoil pad, buy something purpose-built for it. This is a simple and effective design. I've started carrying a space 2032 coin battery inside since the rifle it went on doesn't have a hollow grip or other storage location (just a thought). It's easy to put on and easy to take off, but it won't fall off on it's own. It's simple and effective. It almost looks like it belongs on the stock of my AR. You know what I mean. Not factory, but not out of place. This will do just fine. My shoulder thanks you.
