I wish I'd bought these years ago, they're perfectly exactly what I was looking for! Except they're more affordable than they were so many years ago, so now they are a better value. They're bright 11W incandescent light bulbs, by look and feel they are obviously very heavy duty, the bulb sections have holes for hooks to attach securely to a fence (which is where mine are installed via "cup screws"), and it only took 15 minutes to get all 96 feet installed along the left, back and right sides of my backyard fence. The brightness of the illumination in my yard has removed all of the dark areas, and I can now see everything clearly with just the right amount of ambience from these lights. Most of my neighbors have what looks like these same bulbs - same heavy duty look, same spacing of the bulbs, same Edison style bulbs. I also ordered a Kasa outdoor smart switch, so these lights will be scheduled to turn off and on based on the schedule that I will setup (off at sunrise, on at sunset). Nighttime lounging in the patio just got a whole lot more appealing. :) ... show more

    • not LED they get hot, free hang only, dont touch tree/fence.

These are 140W per string, so a two pics box set is 280W. The other market variants are 20W per string, so be weary these are power hogs considering they incandescent/filament light bulbs and NOT low power LED like costco sells. I say all this because they get hot, so don't put them in a tree or on your fence, they will kill/rot either with the long term heat and are a fire hazard if they do not free hang. FYI. ... show more

My husband was able to put these lights up in a short amount of time, easily. We used Command hooks and gorilla glue on the hooks. They look AMAZING and really up the Wow factor of our nighttime pool and patio area. We also put a two sets café style underneath our overhang and it has become a wonderful space at night to enjoy our brand new pool and enclosure. You will not be disappointed!! ... show more

These are incredibly sturdy. In the photos, I've used only one 25 ft cord. Great bulb size and bulbs seem not as delicate as others I've tried.

I bought these to add to my collection of lights. These only have 16 bulbs per 48 feet instead of 24 which is more the industry standard. The look nice but over 3 feet apart between bulbs is too far.

UPDATE: I purchased another set of these lights for the back deck (second picture). I still love them! I would give them 10 stars if I could. I love these lights! As you can see, our back porch (first picture) was pitch black before. Now we can enjoy it all night long! These are very durable lights, that will last a long time. They do not come with any sort of mounting devices. I used little hooks that I bought at Lowe's, and screwed into the wood. Very easy to install. They give off the perfect amount of light for our needs. Exactly what I was looking for! ... show more

These are great lights and worth the price for two strands. Commercial grade and substantial cording. I have strung one set on the eaves of the backside of my house and they look great. There is quite a bit of distance in between each light, keep that in mind. Wait to add the bulbs until after you get the cords strung. The extra bulb was still needed to replace one faulty one, so that worked out perfect. My trouble installing wasn’t really the product, but the house, most should not have as much of an issue. Completely worth it and a great deal. I read several reviews about having purchased these, setting them up, and finding that they don’t work. I thought I had screwed in the bulbs tight enough but when I went to plug them in, they too, didn’t work. I went ahead and tried screwing them in even tighter and finally they came on and worked just fine, and have been since they arrived. Through PNW rain, hail, wind and sun so far this Spring. They’ve held up great and look beautiful in our backyard. Warm lights give off a nice ambiance. Just be sure to screw in the bulbs tighter than you think you should if they don’t turn on the first time. Heavy duty extension cord-like feel, has weight to it. Great purchase, well worth it. The only thing I wish was included was a remote or a some sort of switch to turn on and off without having to plug and unplug the cord all the time. ... show more
