The “fur” is very soft and warm. One word of caution: these are not “slip on” style slippers—you will need to reach down to pull them on. These booties are well made and very cute. I wear a 6 1/2 and I ordered the 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 size which turned out to be a little small for my feet. I wish I had ordered one size up and then they would be absolutely perfect.
