Buttons need to be depressed to unlock legs into folded or unfolded positions. As made, the buttons are very difficult to push in, for either position. We bought this for use inside our camper, to fold up when not needed. Opening it for first use was difficult. Trying to fold it up was as hard. We used a screwdriver to depress the buttons, slipping occasionally and decided it was just too much work. We sent it back for a refund.
