  • Big screen, great picture quality, splendid response times, mediocre HDR and average brightness
The media could not be loaded. This review is for the Acer Nitro XV272U Vbmiiprx 27" Monitor. WQHD 170hz. Purchased in late march of 2023. Video above has been slowed down to 20% to allow my phones camera to capture the difference between 170hz and 60hz. Image quality is great, but the brightness is average. It handles brightness very well however, the maximum brightness retains all the detail in the image, but it just doesn't get bright enough to produce any meaningful HDR experience. It also just uses one large backlight, so the contrast isn't amazing though the panel I got had pretty dark blacks, though no panel is the exact same. I'd recommend this panel if you're using any card like an RTX 3080 or lower, and are not specifically looking for HDR. I don't recommend you look for an HDR panel at the moment anyways, you should get a panel like this that does everything well for $250, and save money for a true HDR panel which will run upwards of $700. ... show more

  • A fantastic monitor
Looking for a monitor that can keep up with your PC? This is a great option. Image is sharp, as to be expected, colors are great, physical buttons are well placed and easy to use, even the built in speakers are okay. I love the built in stand that allows for up and down adjustment and even lets you rotate the display a full 90°. Only complaint, the input ports are a little hard to access, and are difficult to use without looking at what your doing. Otherwise, this monitor is perfect. ... show more

  • Got what I paid for
Not an expert by any means on monitors because my previous one I've had for about 10 years and it wasn't even 1080p. Ended up buying this one because the price was pretty good and it had high res and and a high refresh rate. Had it since September of last year and it still works. It's very bright (I had to turn down the brightness on it), has great vibrant colors, and all around I really love using it. It has about two dead pixels which I know some people have a problem with but I really don't think they're noticeable unless you're really looking for them. I'll update my review should it ever break, but for now.. 5 stars. ... show more

  • Perfection at it's price.
Great resolution, an ideal refresh rate, and perfect colors. I'm glad I chose this as my first upgrade from 1080p. I'm also really glad that this looks practically the same as the ACER SB220Q (75HZ 1080P). I have a triple monitor setup with this as my main and two SB220Qs to the side for multitasking. They fit in together and the color quality, after some software matching, has made the ideal setup. ... show more

  • Definitely worth it
I don’t write reviews but I just got this monitor setup and it looks amazing. The colors are super good and accurate didn’t need to change the settings also very fast response time which you would expect from a 170hz. Ive seen reviews saying the brightness is too bright but it’s perfect for me all and all it’s definitely worth the money while it’s on sale the only reason I gave 4 instead 5 stars was because mounting the monitor was kind of a hassle with no real explanation in the guide that came with it but a simple YouTube search fixed that. ... show more

  • Just received it, but great monitor
Update: If your display keeps flickering black seemingly at random or when you click on a window, make sure you disable GSYNC in the Nvidia control panel. Apparently it's when you have a HDMI source, even if you use DisplayPort with this monitor. If it happens at all just disable it, it isn't worth the hassle unless you use this as a secondary monitor to a real GSYNC monitor. I followed another review's instructions for a beautiful HDR display: Enable HDR in Windows settings, set NVIDIA color settings (bottom of 'change resolution' option) to YCbCr422, 10bpc, and limited range. Make sure to enable HDR in the monitor's settings OSD. In HDR mode it is beautiful and runs/looks great at 144hz or more. HDR is a bit too bright for me, so I set it back to SDR with mid brightness and it looks pretty good/standard. You really need to mess with the display settings in either your OS or the monitor itself to get it right, don't freak out if it looks wrong when you first get it. Overall this monitor is exactly as described and looks amazing if you enable HDR. My biggest complaint is the cheap/wobbly stand. I'd recommend getting a good replacement if possible. I had no issues with brightness except with HDR, but that's par for the course. Light bleed seemed perfectly acceptable to me, even with HDR enabled. OSD controller know is easy and intuitive, made it easy even with another monitor bordering the edge. I highly recommend this monitor, I upgraded from a CB271HU and it's much nicer. ... show more
