I really like the size of this trash receptacle. I wanted something small to discourage bulky trash from lingering in my car. The opening is wide for its small size and is perfect for used tissues and candy wrappers. But the only place I can really mount it in my car is along the edge of the storage compartments at the base of each car door. I would much rather have hung or mounted it off of the central console making it easily accessible to anyone in the vehicle. But there is just no way to do this as is. Not being centrally located is inconvenient for passengers. I ended up installing it on the driver door for my own convenience while driving. It's doesn't interfere with my leg room or anything. But it does get in the way sometimes when entering or exiting the vehicle. Especially in tight parking spaces where you can't fully open your car door. The trash can is super cute and functional, but it's too big for the driver's side door if your seat adjustment buttons are on the side of your seat rather than underneath. In this case, the trash can will hit the buttons, preventing you from closing the driver's door fully. I am 5'1" and sit closer to the wheel. I realized that pushing my seat back allowed the trash can to fit, but this made it impossible to reach the pedals, so it didn’t work out. If you own a mustang or have ridden in one, you know the back seat has no legroom. I had to have a trash bin, but none would fit on the floor in the back. I bought these and hung them on the backside of the front seats. The clips slide into the pockets on the back, and they fit in the limited space. The other nice thing is they have tops that close. My car is a convertible, and I didn’t want anything that would allow the trash to blow out of the car. These are perfect for small cars! It is small. Not small enough to be clipped to the side pocket as from there it intrudes on my leg room. However it clips very nicely to the floor mat and snuggles into the corner of the passenger footwell comfortably in reach of the driver.
