First, love the reel and everything about it, bought several. REASON I say “beware” is that I came here by selecting BUY AGAIN. Now it’s says Pro Rocket and is substantially higher in cost. The one I bought from this listing before was NOT a Pro Rocket and the one pictured in the add is not a Pro Rocket so it all seems odd. At the time I bought my reel it was labeled just as a 7000C, and that’s what I paid for and received. So I gave it 5 stars. The reel is as described. Went Sturgeon fishing with it today and caught a 59 incher and it worked smooth, no problem. One thing you may want to do is turn it over and tighten, or even put loctite on the threaded pall cover that holds the pall pin that works the level wind that moves the line back and forth. It is chromed and there is a tiny spring that can get lost really easily. Do your work over a white towel as to catch any parts that fall. There is a tiny spring and a pin, they are tiny and very important. When you put it back together, put a drop of loctite on the threads. Not a lot, just a little drop. This reel was probably built on Monday, after drinking the night before. It's a great reel Ron ... show more

First off, i love this reel. I dont use it for sea fishing or anything i use it for catfish, the big 20+ pound cats. I have it on a 8 foot rippin lips heavy action. It casts great, smoothest reel ive ever felt, in matter of fact it might be too smooth when i cast back out i reel fast so i dont get snagged and it makes me mess up because of how smooth it is. Its like butter. But i have yet to catch anything with it yet, it is great but a bit on the heavy side, it will eventually wear your arm out. ... show more

This reel is nice looking , very handsome ... it has proven to be rugged as I only use it in saltwater for hard fighting deep dwellers ... the drag is smooth as silk and I haven't had any issues yet with binding or grinding of the gears.. it's still quiet and reels smooth after several trips and many big fish... I wash it down thoroughly after each use and I also disassemble it and make sure it's dry and then add a light coat of reel oil to all surfaces.. I really like this reel... so just take the time to show it some love and I'm sure you'll have it for many seasons... ... show more

I bought this reel for catfishing I use 30 lb Mono and it cast very good it holds around 195 to 215 yards of 30 lb Mono maybe a little more I use 5 to 8 oz sinkers with cut skipjack or live bream baits it casts a good 75 yards this reel will handle any catfish in the Tennesse river I already caught a few big ones 40+lb blue catfish I have the reel on. A 7'6 Okuma Battle cat rod This is the best catfish setup ever no joke its heavy duty for any thing under 20 pounds but a lot of fun bring in big ones ... show more
