  • Marvelous Really!! I am in awe!
I am completely amazed at this telescope! It is such a delight to use. It has its assembly process but it is extremely complete. It comes with several lenses and so one has several options for how to use it. It is very well built, it delivers very good views of the moon and some planets and stars. It is portable with an adjustable tripod, it comes with a very handy black bag to carry it everywhere. Has a phone adapter and a wireless remote.it also comes with a very detailed manual which is very handy to keep in the black bag. All in all the value for money on this telescope is amazing, it is a great investment if you enjoy looking at the stars, this will provide you with hours of very bright entertainment. ... show more

  • Stargazing Simplified: A Stellar Experience!
I recently delved into the world of astronomy with this 80mm aperture telescope, and it's been nothing short of a stellar experience. As a beginner, I was looking for something user-friendly yet powerful enough to satisfy my growing curiosity about the night sky. This telescope has exceeded my expectations in every way. First off, the 80mm aperture paired with a 500mm focal length is perfect for clear, bright views of celestial objects. The clarity and detail I can see in the moon's craters and the rings of Saturn are breathtaking. It's incredible how this telescope brings the wonders of the universe right to my backyard. The portability of this telescope is a huge plus. It comes with a durable carrying bag, making it easy to transport to different stargazing locations. I've taken it on camping trips and to friends' houses, and it's always a hit. The setup is straightforward, which means I can spend more time observing and less time fiddling with equipment. The adjustable tripod is sturdy and provides a stable base for observations. I've adjusted it to various heights with ease, making it suitable for both adults and kids. This versatility is great for family stargazing nights, allowing everyone to get in on the fun. One of my favorite features is the phone adapter and wireless remote. They've allowed me to take some incredible photos of the night sky directly from my smartphone. Sharing these photos with friends and family has been a joy, and it's sparked interest in astronomy among my loved ones. In conclusion, this telescope has been an excellent investment in my hobby. It's user-friendly enough for beginners but also possesses the quality and features to excite more seasoned stargazers. Whether you're exploring the stars for the first time or looking to inspire a young astronomer, this telescope offers a fantastic window to the cosmos. I highly recommend it to anyone eager to embark on their astronomical journey. ... show more

  • Great Intro Scope for Beginners
This scope is great for beginners, like myself. It’s far easier to use than a reflective telescope (like a Celestron power seeker 127eq), and images of the moon are crisp and very detailed. I was hoping to get a larger image of Saturn and Jupiter, but I was able to see Saturn’s rings as well as Jupiter’s moons (don’t expect huge images of both, though! They’re very small, but you can see them with this scope). I have yet to look for Mars or Venus, but because this scope is so lightweight and includes a carrying case, I’ll be bringing it camping later this summer. Overall, this is an excellent scope for under 150. It was easy to use, contains everything you need, and doesn’t require collimating or polar aligning, etc. While you shouldn’t expect James Webb type of sights, this scope is fantastic for kids and adults to gather outside and experience the night sky. My main qualms would be the following: •The finder scope was a little hard to align, but this could just be me. •The tripod is a little on the short side. I have to kneel or bend over to view through it. •The phone attachment didn’t hold my phone in place that well - I would have included images of what I’d seen otherwise. I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max, though, so it’s heavy. ... show more

  • Excellent Telescope!
I purchased this for my daughter’s 6th birthday, although, I’d wanted a GOOD telescope since I was a child. Needless to say, I use it more than she does. The attached photos were from the first time I used it and I didn’t attach my phone to the telescope attachment because I was too excited. I just held my phone camera up to the telescope so I didn’t get the best photos. However, looking through it was incredible. You can see everything. I half expected to see the American flag waving up there because of how detailed it is. One tip I will give is to take some time looking through it during the day, without the Barlow Lens, to get accustomed to it. I had some trouble actually finding the moon or stars through the telescope initially because I didn’t understand how the rotation worked. The lens is actually a reversed image both along the vertical axis and the horizontal axis— which is apparently how all telescopes work but I had no idea. If you look at night first, you’ll be moving the telescope in the wrong direction trying to find the object because your instincts want you to move it to the left to find an object that’s further to the left, when you actually need to move it right to find that object. Once I got used to it in the daytime, it was super easy to find everything at night. After that, the biggest thing is to use the scope / eyepiece on the side with the crosshairs. I made the mistake of not doing this initially and it is WAY harder to find any object in the sky at night if you don’t center it in your crosshairs first, no matter how zoomed out you are with the lens. So basically, just follow the instructions they include and you’ll be just fine 😅 I’d love to have more lenses for it. I feel like the possibilities are endless so I’m hoping the company makes other lenses that are sold separately. It’s so user friendly so long as you follow the directions in the package instead of getting too excited and winging it lol OH also USE THE LENS CAPS, including the one on the end of the telescope itself. They absolutely will get dusty if you don’t and the lens of a telescope or the lenses themselves are a pain to clean because you don’t want to leave any dirt, fingerprints, or lint behind from whatever you use to clean it. I initially used screen cleaning wipes that weren’t the best quality and that was a big mistake and left little pieces of lint on my lens. The height is adjustable, toggling it side to side and up and down is super easy and includes a stick piece to use to do so more easily, and it includes a carrying / storage case. That might be the best part, to be honest. Having a storage case to put it in makes life so much easier. It’s also incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble. It took us all of 5 minutes the first time even though we didn’t read the instructions initially. All in all, I 1000% recommend this telescope over any others. We’ve had slightly cheaper ones before and it’s just not comparable. ... show more
