This pressed the flowers well enough for me to make resin coasters. I was able to press quite a few at the same time over 4 days, at least enough to make 13 coasters of varying sizes containing a few flowers and leaves a piece. There is a lot included in this flower pressing kit. I haven't seen anything like it myself. Before I pressed flowers just by using computer paper and books so I'm curious to see if things they will dry out quicker with this kit. The method they suggest is clearly thought out and tested. They provide a tool which has seven needles attached to the tip and the purpose of it is to stick thick parts of plant like the stem to help it dry out quick. Clearly, if you stab something like the leaf with it, you're going to leave seven noticeable marks and some damaged flesh which looks bad on any tried piece. So, beware of that. I used the tool on the thick stems at the end of the leaf. I have only tried drying a small batch of leaves in it so far and have not checked to see if it has any progress yet. I do wish they gave you more of the clear sheets that the plant parts come into direct contact with. I don't know how much you can reuse those. They are very similar to tissue paper. I will probably return to paper. According to the instructions, the drying sheets can be reused. You can dry them out in the microwave, bake them in an oven, or do a combination of sun and blow drying in order to reuse them. I am not brave enough to dry them in the microwave. They say to put them in the microwave for 2 to 5 minutes. I'd be really afraid that would burn them (not that I have experience microwaving anything similar). They give you instructions in a little booklet which is very handy. It gives you a picture showing how to layer the sheets and the plant pieces between the two wooden slabs. You can actually put a lot of layers in between the wooden pressing boards at once (all six according the instructions). The kit includes some nice quality paper in the forms of cards, envelopes, and bookmarkers. I tried a bookmark which you can see in the photo. I was difficult to avoid the air bubbles when adding the clear laminating patches. I probably need practice. They also provide these strange book markers that are clear and look like perfume jars. You have to separate the two clear pieces in order to put the flowers in between. Then you push the pieces back together. It's extremely difficult to separate them. I was convinced that these were actually one solid piece of plastic for a while. I kept thinking of how I must be mis-reading their instructions. Eventually I got them apart. It is just very challenging. Overall, this is an awesome kit. Using their drying method is 10 times easier than the method I was doing of putting them in between textbook pages. This kit is totally worth your money and it'd be great as a gift for kids as well. I definitely recommend it. ... show more
