These don't require hooks with their ingenious design. I have two and if we do a poor job of keeping the curtain to where it will air out - I just toss the one that shows the initial signs of mildew into the washer and switch to the other one.

I’m hoping that with more use some of the stiffness will go away, but because of the material this is made from, my hopes are not high. We got it to pair with our hotel style curtain because we determined that the water getting on our bathroom floor was possibly water bouncing off my husband through the mesh panel. The set-up is a little awkward because of all of the fabric of the real shower curtain and the stiff protrusion of the plastic/vinyl one, but they work together well enough. This is an excellent spare curtain. You don’t require those pesky and annoying rings to put it on. It’s easy to put on and take off. I tried out it in the washing ma machine but it doesn’t not wash well. It does clean well if you wipe it down but I do not recommend put it in the wash. I have the complete see through as I like to see and be aware what’s on the other side of a curtain during a vulnerable event such as a shower. Overall, excellent choice. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Since I live in a warm climate, fabric shower curtains looked hot but this not only looked cooler and light! It modernized the entire bathroom! Very pleased with the price and quality! No hooks either!

This shower curtain is certainly waterproof. I have had no leaks around it since installation. However, it is so thick and therefore stiff that it is difficult to move out of the way to get in the shower.
