    • works just as i hoped
This has worked out so well. I can draw on scratch paper and then transfer the image over to my watercolor paper so I can paint it. I like this way better than drawing right away on the watercolor paper because i do not need to erase anything and mess my paper up if i make a mistake. I saw other reviews about the grid or dots making it hard to see your drawing due to the light bord but I do not have that issue at all. I can see the image nice and clear. I also love the option to adjust the lighting. I am not sure why I need to but it is nice to know I can. ... show more

    • I like it but the edges are obnoxiously bright
The edges of this pad are not blocked out. The light coming from the edges is piercing to the eye. I solved the issue by applying dark tape around the perimeter. Maybe the manufacturer should consider correcting this issue in the future. Other than that issue, it serves it's purpose.

    • Simple device for back lighting drawing applications, but not general back lighting
This is probably perfect for tracing and drawing, it is easy to use and reasonably good quality. I was going to use it for back-lighting for photography, and its obvious gridwork of lighting is aesthetically unsuitable for my photographic purposes.

    • This thing has been my best friend for the past 2 years.

First purchased this in 2022 and after using it CONSISTENTLY and I mean on a daily/weekly basis SINCE I got it...I have also traveled (very aggressively) with this thing and it has held up so well over these years.     • Was not expecting the black mesh

Item arrived well packaged and protected. When I tried it out, all worked fine, but I can't comment on its longevity since I returned it. I did not realize when I ordered it that when the light is turned on, there is a black mesh of tiny round holes that the light shines through. I bought this to help me sew on black linen that has square holes between the threads. Layering the round mesh holes with the square linen holes made the fabric look like double-vision and made it difficult to find the exact hole to bring the thread through. I need a light pad with a clear light, with no barrier/filter, especially a black mesh, between it and my material. ... show more

I did not know light boxes existed. Wonderful product for arts and crafts. I'm using it for diamond painting. But kids to adults could use it for tracings, and other projects where a light box is handy. It's really not a box, more like a thin tablet. It's lightweight and easy to use.

So I love to drawl but I can not redraw a drawing I have done. I love water color but when I tried to draw the picture again it never came out the same, I got this and now I have no issue making my picture again. It shows through water color paper but can be a little difficult if your doing fine details. I use it for the main lining then do the details by hand but if your looking for somthing that shows detail this wouldn't be bright enough. ... show more
