These wet suit short are very small. I estimate they are a size smaller than advertised. Also, their headline says for Men/Women but then their size charts mention youth. I did not notice that before ordering. Whatever the case, I would recommend you get a size larger than what you normally wear. I have used a wet suit before for scuba diving and I don't remember them being so tight as these shorts, although it's been several years since I've worn the wet suit. With these shorts, I had to wiggle my way into them and then felt uncomfortable enough that I felt I had to take them right off. The inner neoprene was more like a compression than just a waterproof liner. Perhaps if you get a size larger than you normally wear, they will be a better fit. The thick inner neoprene will retain body heat and help with floatation. ... show more

These are very well made water shorts with an integrated 1.5mm neoprene wet suit liner. I plan to use them kayaking in the pnw to keep that region a little warmer. Trust the size chart, their sizing is listed as youth…whatever that means, but I feel they were sized for asia or somewhere that people run a little smaller than we tend to in the US. For reference I am 6’2, 200 lbs and wear a size 34 (35 currently…) pants and I got the XL which is a little snug, but thats mostly jelly roll going over the top as I have a few inches I need to shed. I am glad I trusted the chart as I almost got a L. My only complaint is that the only pocket is a rear one and I wish there were some up front. ... show more

I am not sure what is up with the sizing and their chart. It conflicts with the product information. But I am an adult male, 6'4" and weight 240lbs. I ordered the XL as this is the usual size but the shorts are pretty snug. They are not uncomfortable, atleast for short periods of time, but I think a larger size would have been more appropriate for me. The materials feels nice and like a wetsuit should. I imagine it would help retain heat in this area if you are in colder conditions. I like that there is a pocket on these as well. The adjustments and inner lining are nice features.
